Winston Churchill Xanax Drug Bust In School Bathroom...

I just read this story online. My son is a freshman at WCHS. Does anyone else know more about this case?

There was a whole thread last year about wide spread drug abuse at the W's.

What more do you need to know? Drugs are in every high school. The W kids just can afford the pricier versions.

So if you thought you were insulated from such things, you're not. But as long as your kid isn't the one scoring pills in a bathroom stall, don't worry about it.

Some schools have the suppliers and some schools have the users.

The guy is 19? Bad case of redshirting?

I don't know why I am continually surprised, but why would he sell drugs--he doesn't need the money. I went to boarding school with a wealthy kid that got busted for selling drugs our senior year. I always wanted to ask him why he sold drugs. He was handsome, athletic and popular. Everyone was jealous of his house, money, car, etc. Bored? His family seemed nice.

How? Did you redshirt her?

My DDs have a September birthday and October birthday. I sent them on time. They will both turn 18 the first few months into their senior year and be 18 for the remainder of their senior year.

This is very heartbreaking. I feel badly for all involved. Obviously this boy has some deep seated problems. His poor parents. I hope he gets help, and I hope that no one dies or is harmed because of his drug dealing. I also hope that the boy who bought the drugs gets help. This whole situation is truly sad.

Agree with the poster above. Clearly this boy has had problems for a while and his own mother tried to get help. There is no need to make this a "W" problem unless the "W" bashers prefer gangs (lots of those in parts of the county) to drugs. Unfortunately, the drug dealing goes on at lots of high schools.

Why? He wanted to become a successful entrepreneur, that's why.
Seriously, there's no such thing as 'not needing the money', especially in those circles.

At 19, the dealer was not a 'boy', he was an adult, and he should go to jail for a long enough time to understand that actions have consequences. And I, for one, don't feel badly for 'all involved', since those 'boys' knew exactly what they were doing. Ugh.

Great that he worked at a summer camp for past 2 years.

His mom didn't try to get him help according to the story, she called the police probably at her wits end. Many parents in these situations are enablers and are bullied by the person they "love and care about"

Like many entitled kids, he is a spoiled kid who knows no boundaries based on his record.
