I can give you all my friend circle (all resulted in healthy baby)...
18 mo + IUI 4+ years + multiple rounds of IVF + multiple mc x 2 friends 20 months + 3 failed IUIs + thyroid testing and medication 1 month, accident x 2 friends 3 months 6 months with 2 mc 1 month, while still nursing x 4 friends Morale of the story: it comes in all shapes and sizes |
| natural - about 2 mo @33 and 5 mo. @37. I know, I was lucky. |
| First cycle at 36. |
| 4 months. But I had a baby in my early 30s, too. |
| Without intervention: about 10 months or so at 35, then 2 months at 37 (miscarried), waited a while after, and then first try at 38. |
| Was 35 when I got pregnant, took 2 months. Started TTC #2 the month I turned 37 and still trying 2.5 years later. |
| I'm not sure if this helpful op. I'm 34 I had an oops first pregnancy. I had sex 3 times during ovulation period and that was all it took. Yeah I know, I know. I was being stupid because I assumed being my in mid 30s it will take a while to get pregnant and I was wrong. Lesson learned and that's not happening again. I should've known, ALL the women in my family are highly fertile. |

I think most women get pregnant fast, a few months, maybe a couple.
It's the miscarriage rate that is higher, I would prepare for that...it may take a couple tries. |

First preg at 33: 1 month but mc
Second pregnancy at 34: 3 months but mc Third pregnancy at 35: 3 months but stillbirth Fourth at 36: 1 month, healthy living baby |

Started trying for #2 at 35 and this month officially marks one year of TTC (had one MC in there).
I got pregnant my first month of the pill with #1 at 32. If everyone I know, it seems like they either get pregnant within 3-4 months, or it takes over a year. You just never know which camp you will be in. |
| 1 try @ 36. I was all ready with charts, etc. but we got lucky. |
| 18 months for #1 with temping, charting and ovulation strips. Diagnosed with unexplained infertility and got pregnant on third medicated IUI. |
I had 3 miscarriages during the year I was 35. Conceived each within 1-2 months of trying, miscarried all of them. It sucked. Finally had to get intervention (Femara and IUI) to ovulate earlier and will deliver baby #2 a couple months before I turn 37. (Had baby #1 at 33 -- also only took 2 months to conceive and I had no idea how lucky I was!) If you are 35 and TTC, OP, make sure you read Taking Charge of Your Fertility and track your cycles using cervical mucus and OPKs (ovulation kits), and temping as well if you are serious. This will maximize your chances of conceiving quickly. And if it doesn't happen you will have all the data to present to a doc if you need help. Good luck. |
