Nice use of cool buzz words. So fetch

08 is little kid soccer. It’s not Passive/aggressive. It’s fact. It meaningless so stop trying to make points from it. It’s all going to change.

There is a debate whether you like it or not. We all know things change however, the debate is and will continue to be which league is better no matter what the age group. Through facts, currently the debate is very clear that ECNL holds the upper hand. It is the posters that come in and act like GA is superior without any points or data to back it up. It's no different than someone coming in and claiming NCAA D2 has better teams than NCAA D1 or that the Horizon League is better than the ACC.

Debating which teams are better than each other in the DMV is totally different debate than ECNL vs GA. Those debates are much more fun since results can not be generalized vs. ECNL/GA.

Yes, little girls soccer. Things change. While your opinion says who cares, 1000s of others do. That is why you have a site such as YouthSoccerRankings.com

In little kid soccer, one or two players are so impactful that they can change the outcome of any game. Some players are impactful because they are physically, technically or cognitively superior to their counterparts. After puberty, all
this is neutralized.

For example - A youth girls team can beat a youth boys team. This is almost never the case after puberty.

I don’t know any 08 players but can guarantee you there is alway one or two that carry the team and if they left the team collapses.

My point is not to put too much stock in it.

That is just not little kid soccer, it every level.

U13 is the strangest age group for girls because some have grown and others have not. U14 evens out a little more but U15 most players have grown.

FCV was very impressive this weekend. Maybe in Jeff Cup we can see them vs VDA or Richmond.

How many 07 guest players did the 08 TSJ team have? I know they had 1 girl at least that plays for their 07's playing with them. Maybe she is an 08 playing on age for this tournament?

Has been playing 08. Good enough to stay with 07s imo.

No - it’s not - not on good teams with depth - and all good teams have depth

No it’s the top 2-3 players that make a team. Take the two top players off any of the teams talked about here and they will drop out of the top 10. Seriously the top players make the team, the rest of the team is just the rest of the team. When you have two players who can win 1v2/1v3’s, makes the great passes, or is shut down defender it takes a lot of pressure off of other players on the team.

Take the top ECNL-r team and add the top 2-3 players from Richmond or VDA and you will have a really good team. Look at SYC and Union.

Not sure where this is heading

Interesting example. SYC has gone way down hill from losing it's players. Union on the other hand has only gotten a little better. Only caveat would be one of the SYC players went to VDA instead of Union.

A little better?

Last year McLean lost to VDA:
2-0
2-1
4-1

They lost to Richmond:
4-0
5-1

This year Union tied both so far. They seem to more than a little better but they are still far from dominant or elite.

Perhaps both improved?

Loudoun was 5-4-3 last year in ECNL league play, so far this year they are already 4-2 in league play.

Wow unbelievable the parents who spend their day pulling the stats. Who cares! No one will remember about anything of this next season.

Perhaps if people didn’t spend their day spewing unsubstantiated negative narratives.

The amount of time people spend just talking trash about teams that 13 year old girls play on is baffling.

Actual facts are also harder to argue against.

This is not about the girls it all about the parents. Still pulling up results is pretty easy.

Really? Because it is girls teams that are being discussed. It is just to hard for people to just say “good game” and move on.

When someone says a team improved it is immediately met with “well they lost to this team”. When both teams are given credit for possibly improving, giving credit to both, then it is met with “what a loser who spends their time looking up stats and facts”. Perhaps the loser is trying to discredit a girls team based on some perceived need to validate one’s life choices by tearing another team of girls down.
