OP should go on food stamps |
No, Iām that WASP, and this new WASP isnāt me. |
OP here. Yes, the other people were perfectly fine. In fact, part of Lardass's family was also fine. It's just Lardass who didn't want what his mom cooked and demolished everyone else's supplies. Kind of the same thing happened the last time. His mom enables this behavior. |
How is this thread still going on??? |
There's always one, OP. We really need to find her the cookies/sunscreen/seashells thread. For everyone here saying OP is awful, YOU'RE the one and you don't know it! ![]() ![]() |
Team OP. Here is the cookies thread for anyone interested:

If I were on this vacation, I would have offered to cook breakfast everyday rather than be on the hook for dinner. At the risk of pointing out the obvious: breakfast is cheap and easy.
This would not have been an issue if you simply had a nice communal breakfast spread each day. Shouldn't the dads be on grill duty for dinner each night? And each family could be on the hook to make sandwiches/lunch for themselves (presumably you were packing coolers for the hike or whatever one does when one vacations in the forest as a group). So, breakfast could have easily been handled by the moms together (Suzy makes bacon and eggs while Judy helps any kid who wants cereal/oatmeal/yogurt and Karen is in charge of drinks and any stray little ones.) The fact that the OP continues to say harsh things about a child who is presumably the child of her friend speaks volumes about her. Any adult who calls a child (or anyone, really) a lardass is truly a terrible person. |
Lots of people with deep seated insecurity/jealousy issues towards WASPs. |
Right, OP forgot the cardinal rule of worship at the alter of the almighty child at all times. ![]() |
LOL I was thinking the same thing but then I saw OP refer to the kid as "Lardass" and that explained everything ![]() |
No, I'm the PP and I'm the one who coined Lardass (in this thread) as a combo of Larlo and the kid's a-hole behavior. Let's make it clear, this is how the kid behaves; it's not what he IS, and it is clearly because of an entitled mother. I think the OP, raw from her trip with a mooching family, picked it up. And yes, I'm the one who compared it to the 20 yo ahole (thanks other PP for finding that cookies thread). This 13 yo is on that path. It's because his mom is a moocher. Nobody likes mooches. Everyone likes feeding a hungry kid. There's such a difference. |
NP. The Toronto observation is spot on. We moved to Toronto from Europe in the early 90s and there was ONE patio - a Swiss chain, Marche (Movenpick) in Yorkville. I remember us discussing the lack of outdoor eating options at length at the time. However, Toronto has definitely changed over the years and is dotted with awesome restaurants and patios nowadays. |
I'm always amazed at the number of people with an "oh well, it's kids, nothing can be done" attitude. Say no, because we'll run out of food then, and I don't want to eat all your parents' food.
I swear a lot of your kids must be so rude and ugly. |
