I'm sure everyone will react well to you telling them what they "need" to do. Really, who the hell do you think you are? |
| Someone who didn't get an invite, obviously. |
Nope. Experience with both. Simpsons is much better. On all fronts. |
| i don't think they learn much etiquette and it's a waste of money. I am so relieved the girls hate it and don't want to go back. |
I am someone who is not blind by the American new way of raising a child: "Be the best in everything." Unfortunately, your kids and families will pay (are paying?) the price with their unhappiness. I could do a favor for you suggesting some books. But I don't think you would read... Good luck! |
| My DS has really enjoyed it. It's more fun when you go with friends. It's been nothing but a positive experience for him. He's grown comfortable in coat and tie, he's absorbed some etiquette, he has the confidence to ask a girl to dance (low risk setting), and he really likes dancing with girls. While you may get an invitation in the mail, it's not an exclusive organization. All you have to do is go to the website and ask for an invitation or sign up. |
I love this post.... |
P.S. Don't forget about the PP with a new kindergarten student at BEAUVOIR (don't miss that), who is already asking about Cotillion.... |
| What if your DS wants to dance with another boy? Is this permitted in Cotillion? |
You're living in the 1960s. |
What 4th or 5th grade boy wants to dance with another boy, except to create a mosh pit? |
um well one who already likes boys! |
You're joking, right? |
Yeah probably not. |
Aiding and abetting? I don't understand. |
