Dickinson or Wooster. Stay on budget and both are great options for liberal arts! |

Is cost a factor? If not: Mudd, NW, UMD/Purdue (tied, depends on whether your DC wants urban or rural), UVA, WPI. |
Your DC needs to put a weight on what's important: weather, social fit, school culture, then decide, strong in ME. |
Dickinson sounds perfect for your kid. Even better that it's on budget. If you had said nerdy, I'd recommend Wooster. |
Purdue |
Thanks for the responses! Likes Georgetown, too, but maybe not a huge upside to going there for those interests. |

St. Olaf sounds like a great match. A friend’s daughter sounds just like your kid and she is really thriving there. Also, they have a great Environmental Science dept. |
OP—can you describe more about your kid’s personality? Bc that will help with differentiating btw Gettysburg Fall vs W&M Spring. My son is going to W&M and my sister went to Gettysburg. |
She’s an introvert but has made friends quickly in the various summer programs she has done. She’s into chorus and theater and interested in continuing on some level in college. We both liked Gettysburg a lot but she applied to W&M ED, and in the last week she is solidifying on W&M spring with a London fall semester. I’m a little concerned about the downsides of the spring start, but not sure it really matters what I think anymore LOL. Sounds like a good number of W&M kids do the London program so will not be coming in totally alone anyway. |

I think that sounds like a wonderful path and from a fellow alumna, welcome to the W&M Tribe. |
+1 FWIW I have a friend whose DD really didn't want to go to Davis when she didn't get into the UCs she really wanted (same as yours UCLA, UCSB, UCI). But reluctantly went because it made sense with the cost. She's LOVING it and now so happy she didn't go someplace else. |
+1 My DD sounds really similar and I was pulling for St. Olaf but she decided she didn't want to be that far from home (went to a PA school not on your list) |
