Close to tech hubs and lower cost.[/quote] +1 FWIW I have a friend whose DD really didn't want to go to Davis when she didn't get into the UCs she really wanted (same as yours UCLA, UCSB, UCI). But reluctantly went because it made sense with the cost. She's LOVING it and now so happy she didn't go someplace else.[/quote]
