Can someone please post the link for the petition to support the bike lanes? I’m a county resident and I have zero idea where one would find such a thing.

Are you a Bethesda resident? Seems like nearly everyone signing in support don’t actually live in Bethesda. If you Silver Spring or Wheaton, like almost all of the “county residents” that have signed the petition then why aren’t you making a petition for bike lanes in your community?

Thanks. I just signed it. Can't wait to get my bike out so I can cycle to the YMCA. Means one less car on the road if I can cycle.

There was already an established bike lane to the YMCA on Old Georgetown Rd. Thank for playing but you seem to like to like to keep lying.

And it ended south of the Beltway. Now it goes all the way to Pike and Rose. More connectivity. Hooray!

It does not now go “all the way to Pike & Rose”. Thanks for playing.

That is the link for drivers who are upset that they only get 4 lanes instead of 6 now.

It is the link for Bethesda residents. The other link is for performative Silver Spring, Wheaton, DC and VA residents.

North of Nicholson, the bike lanes on Old Georgetown Road are part of the county's White Flint Western Workaround project. https://www.montgomerycountymd.gov/dot-dte/Resources/Images/WhiteFlintWw_AerialMap.jpg

I biked from DC to Pike and Rose today. Frankly I think the bike lanes on Old Georgetown Rd are amazing.
Other than rush hour, that street doesn't need 3 lanes in each direction.

That said, not enough bicyclists......YET. More people need to start using this. Huge game changer.
Let's make MD doesn't take them out.

You said “now”. There are no bike lanes to Pike and Rose now. So you’re just making it up because you don’t live here and think an online document is equivalent to the real world.

E-bikes are allowed in bike lanes. Mopeds and motor scooters are also allowed in bike lanes. Mopeds and motor scooters may not be operated at a speed in excess of 30 miles per hour. Mopeds and motor scooters must be titled and insured, and riders must wear helmets and eye protection.

Sweet. 30mph is all I need.
