Weird is your construct. It assumes there is some best path when there isn't, merely best player fits. If D1s take foreign players then they take weird all day long. |
Whats crazy is you just strait lie. When you talk about rae one of your justifications is that older players get on teams first and therefore younger players cant get onto them. Then you completely jump over that statement and say that switching teams when youre older is no big deal. |
Another complete fabrication. D1 colleges offering full ride scholarships take the best players posdible not weird players playing down a grade. |
They take the best players that fits regardless of situation. Here is the proof. Do you have any proof of what you say on being blocked form playing in college playing down a grade? https://www.eastsidefc.or.../agegroups "The new two-year age group structure will not negatively impact college recruiting. College coaches evaluate players based on their performance, development, and potential—not the exact age grouping of their club team." |
RAE benefits are cumulative or persistent. It's not that nuance is lost on you, it's that you are trying to ignore logic to suite your bias. |

Diiscussion about Aug birthdays playing up. Without the play with your age thread monkey commenting every 3 minutes. It looks like parents with Aug birtday kids are leaning to playing them up with their correct grade. One person was planning to play they kid down on an 8th grade team and not play high school soccer their kids freshman year.Is this what clubs are recommending? Crazy |
Got it, selective rae I can totally see how you can use rae as a tool for snowplowing your kid onto an A team that they normally wouldn't qualify for. And best of all if things dont work out its raes fault. |

Uh Oh... ECNL clubs are asking for players graduation year. Wonder why?

Don't they ask this ever year? Is this new to you? |
|
And another example where SY allowing aug birthdays to play down will screw up teams their 8th grade year because the 9th grade players will do high school soccer.

Clubs do ask about grade every year. The play by your age guy says that clubs don't and only calender is requested. |
Wtf? Did you even read the comments when you post? |
How selective? |
Clubs post graduation year for colleges. It just doesn't matter the age group you are in, says Eastside and ACC coach. |
Anonymous comment 656 My kid is also an August birthday and we're having him play up. While he'll be one of the younger players on his team he'll be aligned with his school grade and will play high school with his friends. |
