So selective that you use rae when it can give you something you want. Then pretend like rae doesnt exist when it doesnt get you something you want. |
Correct response! |
Note that it had nothing to do with wanting to play in college. Expect kids who want to play with friends will pick that. It's why each case is unique and August has latitude and isn't forced to play up. You celebrating one kid wanting to play with friends and in high school is telling how much you want that August girl off your DDs team. |
Where did I say RAE doesn't exist? It is something you cumulatively build up over childhood. It's what the science says. You can't be that stupid, can you? |
So your saying that there's MORE reasons for playing with your grade that just college recruiting? Wow amazing |
This is a smart play for rec where the teams aren't picked so much as made up of a group of friends. Glad the kid can find the right path to enjoy the beautiful game. |
Two reasons to play in grade, one because it matches your age group and two, to play with buds in rec. You can pick your own world in rec and have fun. https://www.eastsidefc.or.../agegroups "The new two-year age group structure will not negatively impact college recruiting. College coaches evaluate players based on their performance, development, and potential—not the exact age grouping of their club team." |
So rec players know what grade they're playing at but competitive players and college coaches cant figure it out? You are ridiculous and dishonest |
In rec you get to play with friends, in travel players are assigned based on evaluations and birthdates. Wonder if that kid who was the back half of the age group under BY would have played in college under SY. Now we will never know... |
Well, MLSN is still BY. Also, most of the back half of the age group is now the oldest in SY. It's July that got the worst of this, although those Aug-Sep kids playing up before ready might be shooting themselves in the foot, too. It's not impossible but it'll be a harder path. |
He often selectively focuses on comments that agree with him when the threads he shares are at best 50/50 OR more for playing on age. It's definitely not how he portrays things. The funny thing about Eastside is they say college recruiting won't care about age, yes, BUT they also recommend playing on grade if that makes the most sense. At the same time, they commit to saying no force-ups. It's like the clubs realize one-size doesn't fit all. |
Aug-Dec birthdays playing up a grade in BY is more appealing to college coaches Aug-Dec birthdays playing down a grade in SY is less appealing to college coaches Pretty simple |
Aug b-days who are good enough to play college are most appealing to college coaches ... Going forward, they'll be likely the ones who are the oldest in their age groups ... Ones stuck on the B, C teams because they talked there way into playing up before they were ready, not so much, if they still play by HS. |
RAR makes oldest best player. Colleges don't care you age group, take best players. Facts. |
Being the best player, getting the grades is the ticket. No idea why you feel like their is a magic road to playing in college and a dead end, it defies logic and what the facts are. |
