The Parent Trap

Recorded this for my kids (the Lohan version) and they love it but WTF! Watching this as an adult I have so many feelings. These people are monsters and we are supposed to root for them? They split up their kids and left the other one without a mom/dad because they were too freaking immature to get a custody agreeemnt in place like normal people. The kids never even take them to task for this! They just scheme to get them back together. Those two should have emancipated themselves for all that effort. And all the tertiary adults (grandpa, housekeeper) are totally in on this and cool with it!?

I beg to differ. "Mean Girls" is pure gold. She shines.

Yes but Natasha Richardson and Dennis Quaid as a couple, so cute! (although nothing can top the beauty of Maureen O'Hara in the original.)

It's a ridiculous movie about my eight-year-old daughter really liked it recently.

Just saw it at the AFI a few weeks ago. It was good, but damn I forgot how long it was. Definitely dragged. The camping trip at the end was the best.

I rented the original many times as a kid. I still love that movie.

But I actually enjoyed the LiLo version when it came out in my 20s.

I get what you are saying about the plotline, but I try not to worry about that and just enjoy it.

I've seen that movie so many times, and it really is the rest of the ensemble cast that carries Mean Girls (and Tina Fey's script). Lindsay plays the straight man to the rest of them.

Also meant to add I think her best performance was Freaky Friday

Oooo I forgot about freaky Friday. Ok. Parent trap was amazing for her first movie and I think her best acting. Mean girls was CLAAAASSSIC like all millenial girls can quote it from start to end. Freaky Friday was another amazing one
