Fire in upper NW?

What a shocker. Wint is an illegal alien. He retained an immigration lawyer 2 days after the killings for $1100

Maybe a few liberals will start realizing all of these illegals need to be sent home.

I wonder why the cops haven't been able to identify accomplices yet.. In the old days the cops would have slammed the desk drawer a few times before suggesting the perp's balls would wind up over the drawer next. The canary often started singing.

Because this story that is much larger than Wint. Wint's not going to help the police, he knows better.

NP here.
Don’t know if he is really illegal, but he had been flagged for deportation.

The detective noted that police found a receipt showing that two days after the homicides Mr. Wint paid a $1,100 retainer to an immigration law firm in cash.

It was unclear why he sought out the law firm as it was not until his arrest that U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement flagged Mr. Wint, who is a citizen of Guyana, for deportation.

What is your point? A person can be a citizen of another country and be here legally.
Are you certain of his legal status? If so, post a link.
FWIW - I am vehemently against illegal immigration. I just don’t think he was here illegally, although it seems he should have been deported long ago because of the crimes he committed before this heinous act.

I was reading web sleuths site for any new released info from the hearing today. I was amazed at what seemed to be a new group of folks looking at JW and posting about him rather than the facts of DNA evidence on suspect in custody. Maybe defense is working to influence public opinion by posting in these sites. Just a thought…so Keeping eyes on evidence is key.

Detective: DNA from vest, money links Daron Wint to DC quadruple murder (WHERE DID HE GET THE MONEY FOR THE LAWYER THE NEXT DAY???) Wint wore an orange prison jumpsuit. His hands were cuffed and his legs shackled. He did not speak other than to verify his name to the judge.

Owens also testified that police found a receipt for an immigration attorney Wint hired two days after the slayings. Wint, a native of Guyana, paid a $1,100 retainer in cash, the receipt showed.

Wint had no source of income at the time of the slayings, Owens said. Wint had previously been employed as a welder, including a stint working for American Iron Works, a Maryland-based construction-materials supplier. Savvas Savopoulos was CEO of that firm.
