Yesterday was a rough day for the Democrats

Face it - Trump won't be the end of the republic. What will be is stupid professors and their ilk calling to suspend the election and the EC. Also, one should note that Pelosi's daughter is an EC member and leading the charge to suspend it. Yeah...no politics there being played.

Well said!

It is a rough day indeed when the heavily favored candidate crushes the popular vote but loses three blue states to lose in the electoral college. To be sure, It's still not a certainty that electors won't throw it to the House.

This is hilarious.

We're Dems. Every day is a particularly rough day right now.

Still not leaving or sitting down.

See you in Shinola.

None of those things bothered me. You're weird.

If you took out all of NYC's votes, Trump wins the popular. Think about that for a moment.

Next we need to go over the voter rolls in each state with a fine-toothed comb, and remove all deceased, and all those that don't have the legal right to vote. Then there needs to be a voter-id system (like, say Mexico has) to ensure those that DO vote are legal citizens.

The exercise of the recount and then the elector business, in this case, is simply to try to delegitimize Trump's win. It is the biggest case of sore loser I've ever seen. Given the Rs won not only the Presidency, but also the house, senate, as well as the lion's share of the governorships, it's clear the people have indeed spoken. This was not a fluke, but a statement from the American people that this country was not going in the right direction.

I know, right?

It's almost like someone needs to feel like other people are down. What a pussy.

Only stupid people care about these things, so a good day for Trumpkins as they can pretend no foreign interference in election and no conflit of interest issues with Trump.

PP here. Was responding to the point above the Trump rant. You know what? Maybe if we take out all the votes of the people with stubbed toes, Trump would win the popular vote.

Doesn't matter.

He didn't win it. It's not like people who live in NYC aren't voters, or aren't people. He didn't win their vote. *shrug. I'm not going to be claiming that makes you sad, because I am not a pussy, and I don't care about your feelings. Not like you seem to care about how people feel about HRC, or about Trump.

I care about what happens to the citizenry of my country, because I'm not a pussy.

And don't forget the recounts in 3 key states. This isn't over folks!

NP, I agree; except for using slang for women's genitalia as an insult. In a world where the Orange Elect has the problems with women that he has...

I agree. And, then, we need to carefully look at some of the districts where the number of votes exceeded the number of registered voters. Or, the districts where the votes cast exceeded the number of those who showed up to vote. Wonder how often this happens. Ironic thing is that we probably would have never known about the discrepancy in Detroit had Stein not insisted on a recount in Michigan.

Voting machines in more than one-third of all Detroit precincts registered more votes than they should have during last month’s presidential election, according to Wayne County records prepared at the request of The Detroit News.

New Yorkers aren't American? Tell that to the President-Elect.
