I liked Tina Fey's memoir.
Totally opposite, I also loved James Herriot's memoirs of working as a country vet in Yorkshire in the first part of the 20th century. (All Creatures Great and Small and the various sequels.) Maybe the best memoirs ever. |
| Oh, another good one is Tip O'Neil's autobiography. Although it will make you very nostalgic for a functioning legislative body and cross-party cooperation. |

| Andre Agassiz -- "Open" -- I'm a tennis enthusiast, but what I really loved about this book is Agassiz's account of how he came to realize as an adult that his childhood and family life were pretty much of a horror show -- and how he worked through that. |
