The goal was to take away form GA NC Showcase

Yet all I see is plenty of invites for GA girls to YNT camps and in some places -- like MI which has some ECNL blue blood -- GA won out.

Scout attendance at GA event looks strong. Not sure what ECNL is referring to about a decline. Also, how can it be accurately tracked when schools are showing up in pics who aren’t registered (Carolina x2, Illinois)?

As a parent who has been tasked with tracking scouts at our games for the Champions Cup event, I can confirm that roughly 10% of the scouts that attended our games were not listed on the registration. Since then, I always take those attendance numbers with a grain of salt.

I bet some schools don't want their attendance know for not only competitive reasons BUT so the rival league isn't harassing them about it.

What percentage is “plenty”?

All the logos end up on instagram anyway. More than likely, they just can’t be bothered or want to limit the pre-event emails from every kid that is going to the event but has no genuine interest in their school or they aren’t interested in.

I find it odd that no information has been leaked

Leaving what?

Rumor two high profile GA clubs leaving for ECNL.

Which two. Which make the most sense

I think if Vegas had odds the front runners would be

1. STA
2. Top Hat
3. Indy Premier
4. Florida United
5. HTX

doubt its Florida United. Florida West just got booted back to RL and replaced by Team Boca. Florida West/FC Prime were travel partners. Now it will be Team Boca/FC Prime which makes sense cause Team Boca is only 1.5 hour drive from Miami where Fl West was almost 3 hours. Miami Area can handle 2 more ECNL teams. If they add Florida United, they would need another team for a travel partner.

With that said, there is a huge merger going on in South Florida. FC Prime (ECNL & RL), Florida West (soon to be RL), Prime Miami, Tropical, Cosmos, Pompano Beach, I think Sunrise Surf and a few more are merging into 1 mega club call Athletic Club Florida https://www.athleticclubflorida.com

They will take over the ECNL and RL of FC Prime. Not sure what FC Prime will be called yet. They could easily get another girls ECNL team.

Florida Premier (Tampa Area) just got a second boys ECNL team and are supposed to be getting another girls ECNL team next year but they can definitely handle another girls ECNL if they gave them one this year.

When you start talking metro areas and how many teams ECNL can support, it’s interesting to me that the 5th largest Metro Area in the country (Houston) only has 2 Girls ECNL teams. So maybe HTX is a possibility.

They were just awarded a 2nd GA team.

True, but when compared to the other names being thrown around, walking away from a second GA team is more likely than walking away from MLSNext.

you know we hit the bottom when ga parents out justifying the ga nc showcase.lmao... this showcase is for mostly the bottom level of ga. some games are being shown live on YouTube and most all can be found on veo from the girls academy website. go watch the games.

it is a tournament geared towards the d2 and d3 colleges. surf cup, Jeff cup and casl/visit Raleigh are better tournaments.

Rock bottom is when you have to host an ECRL showcase with NL to have scouts come out .

Ok but the point is the opportunity is there for GA players. Same colleges and coaches are turning out that’ll be seen at ECNL NC. The opportunity exists for players in the GA platform to be seen.

It’s about players and clubs having realistic expectations and targeting right colleges for their players, giving sound advice, and supporting that advice with entering the right showcases for their players.

You realize these coaches are the ones opting in to attend the GA showcase, not the other way around?
