Isn't the little boy who plays young Randall adorable? |
I had no idea that was Lily! I love her character too, very likable. I read somewhere a long time ago she emigrated from Israel but don't know how true that is. Too lazy to google! |
Uzbekistan. You got a vowel right. ![]() |
Also she comes off really intende physically/sexually. And I don't think in a healthy way. At first I thought it was sparks between the two of them. But...I think she is acting a part almost. I just don't think she could ever be real. And never down to earth enough for Kevin, who is great, but fun loving/shallow/normal. Even if he deepens, I don't think she could match him. |
Young William (Randall's bio father) is a different actor from old William. |
Quoted the wrong post, above. Young William (Randall's bio father) is a different actor than old William. |
+1 Agree with all of the above. I have been very impressed with Mandy Moore's acting. She is so believable. |
Agree. Since Kevin still has to work with her, I hope they show him kicking ass at his role in the play and then completely ignoring her any time they don't have to work together. She deserves a good comeuppance. |
Does the same actor play both older and younger William?? I thought there was enough of a difference in how they looked that there had to be two different actors. William is actually old, and his younger counterpart was young. At least, I don't think it was just makeup! |
You guys...one of the best scenes. Randall is practically yelling at them/her while the 80s family is happily playing games in the cabin. All of them, but especially Randall and Rebecca---amazing acting. Acting out different emotions right next to each other and with her not acknowledging him. |
They are different actors. The present Dua actor is Ron Cephas Jones, a very accomplished and established actor in his late 50-, I believe. |
Kate was on the Ellen show yesterday. She did not look padded to me.

I'm the OP from back in September, but haven't posted since. I cannot believe this thread is up to 41 pages!
I'm still a fan, particularly of the parallel timelines and I especially liked how adult Randall was able to talk to his dad this week. I thought the scene with young William was heartbreaking. As an adoptive parent of a child of another race, some of story lines are particularly thought-provoking for me. |
Agree. I was riveted during that scene. |
It's amazing to be able to understand both sides, mom & son. It's heartbreaking and a fantastic storyline. |
