A close friend made the terrible mistake of marrying a narcissist. It was great for a while until the controlling and egomania and manipulation emerged. Narcissists are ingenious at shape-shifting -- they become exactly whom you want them to be until they get what they want. In her case, he wanted her (she's beautiful and smart and talented). But once they got married, he dropped the facade, and their entire relationship deteriorated into sheer hell (for her). Trump's weird covering up the Kennedy center name removal because, as a narcissist, he can't bear to be told what to do is absolutely typical of a person with malignant narcissism. My friend endured many similar things -- her husband could not stand to be crossed or told "no" he could not have his way. (He told her to change her clothes if he didn't like what she was wearing, and he screamed at her and threatened her until she complied.) He got his way no matter what. It was like torture and prison for my friend. Fortunately, she got a divorce while he was out of the country. The demented orange potus is doing the same thing to our entire country. We're the prisoners being tortured by him. We need a divorce from him!!!! |

I don't think they removed it. They just covered it up. They will keep that tarp up until SCOTUS rules on this one. Crazy. They are telling the judge the name has been "removed." It's a lie. The name is just "out of sight" but still there, behind the tarp. The judge is going to be pissed off. |

I don't disagree, but to a PP's point, using tax payer funds to placate his ego and potentially be in contempt of a court order is a gross misuse of government money, even if it's less than a drop in the bucket of all the other misuse of funds |

Judges have no power if the courts are not respected, especially by the president. The only real enforcement power of the courts is the US Marshal service and they are under direction of the executive branch, so you see the problem. Federal courts have ruled against the executive something like 10,000 times in Trump 2.0 and in hundreds of cases the administration has just ignored the courts and unlawfully deported people and then blamed miscommunication etc. and so far as I know the jails aren’t clogged up with DOJ lawyers being held in contempt. |
