A little. Fox News and other radical outlets provide a warped view of reality. But I think even more of them just assert falsehoods confidently, hoping that they can kind of bully others into doubting themselves.

It’s crazy! I was reading this thread last night having ptsd from the debate and when I actually listened to the interview I felt it went fine. Both the interviewer and the candidates were in pretty standard form, imo. I don’t get the histrionics.

They both came off as liars and flip floppers.

Kamala wanted to ban fracking and decriminalize border crossings in 2020.

Walz did not fight in war and he’s an English teacher. How is his grammar bad? He taught English grammar to kids in China

He was a social studies teacher.

HAHAHAHAHA. When Trump is the alternative, this is pure gold. He is famous for his subtlety of thought and depth of knowledge. Hoo boy!

But we are supposed to assume that Harris is above that level, right?

And to Mr. D.J. Trump.

According to?

If Trump said that, it would be mocked

Not really. He's such a fire hose of obvious, demonstrable lies, there's no point.

He used IVF as a term instead of IUI because IVF is something most people have heard of whereas IUI isn't.
He attained a rank and served in that capacity for months, and then retired, at the rank below.

These are not "lies" and certainly not like any of Trump's thousands of obvious lies.

He had "Command Sargent Major" stamped on his Congressional challenge coin. That's stolen valor. He claimed to have "carried a weapon of war, in war". That's stolen valor, not bad grammar.

That isn't stolen valor. He achieved the rank and served in the rank, but retired a rung lower.

When she talks about spending HOURS in the situation room, I suspect she was being honest—more than one. Less than five.

She was fine. She wanted to avoid the Hillary/Warren trap of getting too much into the weeds.

Or Donald "women should punished for abortions, but six weeks isn't enough time" Trump.

Okay, she's a mediocre candidate.

But she's still much better than the alternative. Trump is a nearly an octogenarian (and will be part-way through the next presidential term) and is rapidly declining both mentally and physically. This job is one of the most stressful and aging jobs and he will not be able to survive competently for a four year term. Biden was much more stable both physically and mentally in 2020 than Trump is now and look where Biden is. The same will happen to Trump. It is quite likely that should Trump be elected, Vance would have to execute 25A to have Trump removed from office for age-related incompetency and then we would be left with Vance who is even less qualified than Harris to assume the office. At this point, Trump is not fit for office and he will only get worse, not better.

Trump did not pay attention to his daily briefings when he was last President. He will have even less attention span for them now and we would be risking a aging senior who needs to have elder care making uninformed decisions for national and international events and having access to the football. Additionally, an aging senior who has alienated our European and NATO allies, has courted relationships and proudly touted relationships with Russia's Putin and North Korea's Kim. You are risking world-wide political instability entrusting the US international relations to someone in his state of age-related decline.

And when it broadcast last night, with commercial breaks, it was 49 minutes, so you pretty much saw all of it.

They did a joint interview on Fox

Kamala: "We brought inflation down"

She's a walking Trump ad.

+1 Correct. Still cannot believe these are our choices. For me this comes down to the economy/business acumen, the border, and past performance on the world stage. Harris/Walz seem like deer in headlights.

Really?

Inflation is back down and Kroger and Walmat have admitted to their price gouging. Prices are still he, she has outlined her plans to address it. How are tariffs and exporting migrant workers going to keep prices down?

Trump killed the border bill that would deal with the pressing issues. Harris has said she would sign it. Has Trump? Meanwhile, border crossings are down to 2019 levels.

Performance on world stage: no one laughs at Biden/Harris the way they literally were at Trump. NATO has expanded and the US is no longer kowtowing to Putin and Xi. I am not sure why or how joining the ranks of authoritarian countries is good for our economy or democracy writ large.

Border crossings are down because this administration is flying 30k people per month directly into the country. Our services are not meant to handle this amount of people. That bill was not going to fix this. We need to deport the several million that came across recently.

While I think it was a terrible program, it was experimental between January to December 2023 and took in 320,000 immigrants. The government vetted asylum seekers in Honduras, Guatemala, Columbia, Venezuela, Haiti, and El Salvador. The country is no longer using that program, and the crossings are down. I have read that there is a new caravan on its way. I wonder how the administration will handle this new caravan.

I don't blame Harris. She was not in charge of the border, Biden and Mayorkas are responsible. It took Biden too long to change his position, but I am glad he has changed it. I hope Harris, in charge, will take her prosecutorial background and go after the border jumpers, cartels, and these migrant gangs. I want her to put somebody in charge of Homeland who can thread the needle between humanity and our country cannot absorb so many poor, uneducated people in such a short period of time. I also hope they put some conditions on these sanctuary cities. It is okay to be a sanctuary city that do not share law enforcement information with the feds. That's your state prerogative. However, it should also be the feds prerogative not to provide government assistance to those states for LEO activities. Some of these new migrants think America is soft and that American LEO is soft ASF.

Signed,
A Big Harris Supporter.

Tom Sawyer: He was Tom. Tom Sawyer. He was a boy. A boy named Tom who did all the things young boys do. The book’s author, who wrote Tom Sawyer, told a wonderful tale about the boy and his adventures. He laughed and he loved and he loved to laugh. And we can all learn a lot about what this boy Tom Sawyer experienced in this book.

You have that backwards. She answers the questions the way you summarize an issue to a third grader. As a prosecutor she was trained to keep her questions simple and her responses simpler. You explain your position on a third grade level, so that everyone on your jury understands the connections. It's in her training.

Sources say the CNN interview of Harris and Walz was originally 41 minutes long.

The Harris Campaign objected to over HALF of the interview being shown.

Release the transcripts!!!

He did not achieve e9. He wasn’t promoted to e9 then demoted at retirement. He never went beyond e8. He is a gross liar. You are an enabler.
