She said she'll probably do it after Trump shows up for the first one. I think this is good strategy. If they had held a Fox debate as the first one, he could have just done the one in conditions favorable to him, and bailed.

To be honest though, the debate is not going to be revelatory. Trump is going to Trump and make up horrible lies that will not be fact checked. Harris will answer questions in a more coherent manner, but like all politicians, will not give a straight answer. Both sides will claim victory. I don't really know why anyone thinks this is going to be a big deal.

I'd only agree to debates with live fact checking and a dunk tank that is triggered everytime they lie.

If we taught civics in schools people would know this and be less likely to be manipulated by lies.

I don't think Harris is a coward. She just knows her weaknesses. She doesn't do well when others are asking her questions or countering her narrative on the spot. She is a fierce interviewer herself as a former prosecutor but she looks defensive and babbles/stumbles a lot when on the receiving end of even the friendliest of interviews. Likely why she hasn't agreed to any interviews yet.

Trump showed up to the Biden debate that you said he wouldn’t show up to- the result was Biden being exposed, the DNC being exposed, etc.

A former DA has no fear about debating a convicted felon. Harris will do fine. Trump is a low energy, low IQ mouth breather, who rambles on about Hannibal Lecter and lies about crowd size. He is a washed up has been.

He will or will not show up to debate her on ABC. Either way will help her win this election so she is in a good spot.

Donald can propose whatever he wants. Doesn’t mean Harris has to agree to it. Same as if she declared a debate unilaterally and expected him to show up for it. Harris has said she’ll consider other debates after he shows up for the first one.
