Is there a common denominator there? |
Kids playing a soccer game. |
PP can't follow simple rules from their club. Their club doesn't allow pets at the fields at all. |
so close don't be afraid |
go ahead and clue everyone in with what you are thinking. Don't let others speak for you. |
No, the Samba Boyz were busy placing third in their bracket at the OBGC Tournament this weekend: http://events.gotsport.com/events/results.aspx?EventID=82196&GroupID=1005103&Gender=Boys&Age=10 I guess they couldn't hatchet their way to the final this time? |
You're dumb. Another poster copied SYA's policy on dogs. SYA is not my club. I have never had anything to do with SYA. Morevoer, their policy just states that they "prefer" no pets, not that pets are not allowed. Again, I know reading is hard. It's true that pets are prohibited on school grounds, and there are signs at every entrance clearly indicating that. That's why my post above says, "unless it's a school." I do not take my dog to games at school fields, or anywhere else where pets are prohibited. I do often take my dog to soccer games at Fairfax County Parks, because "he Fairfax County Park Authority has always welcomed leashed dogs in all of its parks," (https://www.fairfaxcounty.gov/topics/guides/dogs - noting that the only place you can take your dog OFF leash is in a designated dog park.) I do keep my dog more than 15 feet from the field boundary, and generally at least that far from any other spectators. That is mostly because he is extremely friendly - social to a fault - and will tend to get distracted (and distract me) if there are other people around that he wants to say "hi" to. I also recognize that tournaments will sometimes add their own rules and restrictions in addition to the regular rules governing county parks, so I always check the tournament rules carefully to make sure they do not have a no pet policy before traveling with my dog. I get that there are irresponsible dog owners out there, just as there are complete A-holes who can't keep their mouths shut during the games, get in fights with opposing spectators, and otherwise act like idiots, spoiling the experience for the rest of us. But it was wrong for the OP to have included "dogs everywhere" during soccer tournaments as part his/her "hall of shame." The 15 foot limit applies to all spectators, whether or not they have a pet. "11. For patron safety, only players, coaches, umpires and referees are allowed on athletic fields. All spectators, pets and others are to remain at least 15 feet from the boundary of the field, or outside a perimeter fence." https://www.fairfaxcounty.gov/parks/rules/athletic-fields. |
Sorry, but I'm with the OP (and I'm a dog owner myself). |

At many county fields including sully highlands it is posted on the fence no dogs allowed within.
They should post no parents allowed as well now |
| At Rush For the Cup, there were no dogs allowed. Several families warned by the refs. |
|
Sorry to burst your bubble, but they actually won their bracket playing a year up.

I have three kids in travel soccer and have lost count of how many games I have watched. I have never seen this situation ever. Occasional games interrupted by the weather or by out-of-line parents and coaches, yes. Dogs? Never. I have a hard time believing PP has witnessed multiple matches (plural) where dogs have run on the field. Talk about inventing problems. |

When a field is posted no dogs like at sully so you have to walk past the sign with your dog, then it is someone saying the rules don’t apply to me.
When a parent yells at Ref when told not to, same thing When parents yell at each other cursing they break the law of society We have rules so people can get along. There are always people who don’t like the rules or don’t follow them. Dog lover no one cares that your dog wants to say hi. I love dogs. I don’t love your dog and when you tel me he is just friendly I don’t know you or your dog. I don’t walk up to strangers and lick them smell their crotch and then have my wife tell you I’m harmless. Just admit you are someone who intentionally doesn’t follow t rules. You are who you are. It’s not your dogs fault it’s yours |
lol you should see me drive 5mph over the speed limit on all non-residential roads. Stop sign? Sure, stopping at about 1mph as I roll through when nobody else is present. "No skateboarding"? lol okay. I follow rules that have appropriate standing. |
