I keep hearing the Everlast song in my head What it's Like, because they reference a Colt 45.

This wouldn't be so bad...

Not that it matters, but my first association of the name Colt is from the 90's kids movie 3 Ninjas.

Do you live in the DMV, OP? It's hard to picture someone in D.C./ Bethesda/Silver Spring/Arlington naming their kid this.

Are you a hardcore Republican? Because that's what it telegraphs. Colton is better. at least give the kid a chance to be taken seriously.

+1

Colt's brothers are named Earl, Dustin, and Leroy.

The Colt I just met is hardcore MAGA!🤮🤮🤮

Neigh, op! Colt is a baby horse. What names do you like?

Well! OP certainly knows how people feel about Colt.

I am a liberal city dweller and actually think it is really cute, like a superhero name, with caveat it would have to be Colton formally. I am not a fan of the names others have equated, such as Jaxon, Braydon, etc. I think Colt/Colton is a real name, and I tend toward the traditional.
