This whole unvaccinated argument is moot. Everyone transmits the virus if exposed regardless of vax status. Yes the unvaccinated are allowing it to spread more rapidly, but if you Mom get it, you can also spread to your kids. It's not JUST the unvax spreading it. You also put your kids at risk. Have everyone test before the trip and move forward. Or don't go. Period.

Test before the trip and then get on a plane? Makes zero sense.

I think the most prudent thing to do is:
1) test before getting on the plane (yes! so you decrease your chances of spreading to others on the plane. everyone should be doing this!)
2) Quarantine upon arrival and test after 5 days, then you can go to the family house, provided....
3) All the other family members follows step 2 as well. No restaurants, no grocery shopping, etc.

This makes no sense vaccinated people can still be carriers of the disease. It doesn’t matter.

The (+) for those vaccinated is that they are not at high risk for poor outcomes from the disease.

I don't understand the anger? You can give the kids covid yourself. The vaccine only protects YOU. If you get covid you will have mild symptoms. The covid vaccine is no different than the flu vaccine. Do you avoid people who haven't had the flu vaccine?

I'm not a trumper and I am vaccinated but I think your a fee may be misplaced.
