Yearly vacations with adult children

I’m sorry. You should try it if your family is helpful. It’s awesome to have a high adult:child ratio.
It means I get to sleep in and actually relax instead of just being 24/7 mom in a new location.

My parents do this every year. It’s usually the only time my siblings and I are in the same place. They have made sure that no one is under any pressure to attend. It’s quite honestly one of my favorite weeks of the year especially now my siblings and I have kids.

I think the key is to pick cool places, leave time for people to do their own thing and no pressure or judgment if someone decides to skip a year. They pay for the place, we pay to get there.
