I feel terrible for Shota and Dawn, but also for the other three who nearly went all the way to the finale -- Jamie, Maria and Byron. They were so thrilled for Gabe when he was named Top Chef -- especially Maria and Byron, who are also Latinx and who mentioned their pride that Gabe was the first Latino named as Top Chef. He really let his friends down.
