STBX Dating “Hot Grandmas”

For a dumped ex wife, finding out that the ex husband actually likes women his own age (but not ex wife) may be upsetting. That's understandable. It probably means the problem was her personality, not her looks or age.

If she dumped him, then I don't see what the problem is.

I wouldn't have a problem with that. I'd have a much greater self esteem hit seeing him with a gorgeous, young thing.

An old woman that I am much better looking than--and likely I'm better educated and have a great career, I could handle!!! I also wouldn't have to worry about my kids having new infant step siblings.

I probably would have a hard time though if this older woman was a partner in a law firm or neurosurgeon and didn't 'mommy track' her career to take it all the way to the top like a lot of us did.

Male here. My female professional friends and relatives didn't generally didn't head for the mommy track. If I end up having to date in my mid-50s, I'm going for the lawyers and the doctors and the teachers and the public servants. Women with wrinkles, grey hair hair and saggy boobs are ok, but the yoga moms and tennis moms don't usually do it for me.

My mommy track is a GS-15 with a salary of $175k instead of going into the private sector. So I didn't do bad and I love my career, but if I didn't marry in my late 20s, I would have most definitely had done something that I didn't need to worry about being WAH to raise my kids.

+1. I think a lot of younger women can’t wrap their heads around the fact that many older men find women their age sexy and attractive. Sorry, age doesn’t trump all. And I’m 29 so this isn’t me being defensive.

They don't want young kids and exes around. Nor do they want another kid, something they don't have to worry about with women closer to their age or even older.

No that's not it, lol. They want 2 incomes, better health insurance and more security. Sex is the lure for men, and women have known this since the beginning of time. Sorry men it's not the front pocket, it's the back one!

This is probably the biggest reason

My husband had his first set of kids at 19, and that's pretty "normal" in other areas to have them in your early-mid 20's.

What is the real back story? He sounds appropriate. OP was probably dating before the separation, got dumped from her AP and made husband is having success.

Or one income: his! Because they can’t afford to live after alimony phases out.

Yes this was my attractive ex SIL. Sure enough she got her old address book out, and called an old college bf. He was married with 3 teenagers in another state. She stalked him, bagged and had him tagged within 10 mo. Destroyed his entire marriage, and family for her which I'm sure he regrets today. She's a total witch, but a pretty good con.

Most people do not get alimony.

A lot of married women “hunters” on affair websites looking to do just that. Exit out of current marriage and have a new man support them. Exit affairs. They can’t afford to do it any other way or so co-dependent they can’t go out and get a good job and do it on their own.

Yeah, 45 to 60 seems like the right age range for a fifty five year old man
