She parties and the corrupt cop supplies it to wealthy ex-pats. That's how they know each other. Husband is fine with it, because he parties too but he can't be seem buying the product from a crooked cop.
My guess is that she will claim that the drug-dealing cop tried to sexually assault her and, in the melee, she managed to grab his gun and shoot him to defend herself. The problem right now is that an investigation will reveal that the cops run the drug ring in Belize, likely with the cooperation and benefit of politicians. No one wants that story in the local papers. |
if the husband stands buy her, it's hard to off the wife of a billionaire- that can buy tons of lobbyists in counties that put tons of pressure on a small country like Belize |
No need to buy tons of lobbyists. Belize is crooked AF. And no one in the local Belizean elite wants this in the local papers because everyone is getting a piece of that drug money - cops, politicians, banks laundering money, real estate agents selling property to those with drug money, etc. My guess is that she gets booted out of the country for five years. Hopefully she doesn't lose custody of her kids, since it seems she is not actually married. She's really at the mercy of her billionaire partner and his influential father. |
| Great plot for a Lifetime Original Movie. |
What's with the creepy fetishization in half the posts that this must be some ebony/ivory affair with rich white woman and a fat ugly cop? Weird af. A small woman didn't take this large man's service pistol and assassinate him after a tryst.
He was likely just a corrupt piece of crap third world "cop" who supplied blow to rich elite. I'd assume a drug-fueled game of Russian roulette, which of course you conspiratorial lunatics will never believe is the real story.

Yeah, I did not spend much time in Belize but came away with the impression that it’s a seriously odd place. Much of the country is sparsely populated. There is very little industry or even agricultural production to support the country. The British created a single export economy and that economy has collapsed. Their tourism industry is developing but lags behind Costa Rica, Mexico, DR, Jamaica, etc. I can’t remember all the things I learned there but it all seemed wildly dysfunctional. |
| The poor woman. It’s obvious she is being framed and would never do any of the horrendous things people are describing! My heart breaks for her. She needs to be home with her husband and children |

My guess is that either she didn’t have the money with her or he tried to increase the price, or was trying to run some extortion on the side of the drug arrangement, they argued and he threatened her. They must have been standing very close and he probably grabbed her — that’s the only way I can see that she would have been able to grab his gun from holster. And shooting him behind his ear is consistent with him being very close to her and a struggle.
Although the witness story about a massage doesn’t fit with that story. |
I have two pairs of sunglasses right now so I can give one to the baby, maybe they have a baby. |
NP we were all thinking it right? |
| I don't think there is anything about coke that would make her do this. An affair I guess maybe? You'd think she could have come up with something more convincing. I buy the accident argument (although I'm sure she was playing with the gun or grabbing it to shoot fish or something stupid and she is guilty of manslaughter or whatever). |
Ha ha!

Belize has positioned itself as a relatively safe drug trafficking point between Mexico and Columbia/Venezuela. Overland border with Mexico plus extensive island waypoints make it an ideal location for trafficking through land, air, and sea. Plus, their financial system is fairly advanced and legal system relatively stable, so they host a lot of illicit off-shore financing activities. Basically, they are Panama 35+ years ago. And it's a lot more safe to do business there than the surrounding countries of Guatemala, Nicaragua, or El Salvador. This murder case is likely an onion, with multiple layers of nasty business to be revealed. It's in no one's interest for this case to go any further. The cop's family will be paid off and/or threatened. |
+1. This PP seems to have the best guess as to what’s going on here. |
| The affair allegations sound totally fake. Either just pure tabloid fodder or a smokescreen put out to muddy up the truth. |
