The problem right now is that an investigation will reveal that the cops run the drug ring in Belize, likely with the cooperation and benefit of politicians. No one wants that story in the local papers.

what is there to investigate? you just made a a couple of statements that indicate that you know exactly what happened. All investigators have to do is talk to you. You must not be one for wait for the facts of an investigation to come out.
