No. Consolidating the talent from all those teams onto the two existing teams = strong teams. More teams = dilution. DUH.

GA Patch: 2020-21 Girls Academy League
ECNL Patch: 2021-22 August 2021- June 2022: ECNL

Richmond was never GDA/GA. Always ECNL.
First year of GDA, Arlington, VDA, FCV, and Metro (then Spirit) were in GDA. ECNL quickly grabbed BRYC.
Second year of GDA, VDA switched to ECNL and I think Loudoun did too? (Loudoun had been neither GDA nor ECNL previously).
Third year of GDA, Spirit dropped its youth program and became Metro, COVID happened, US Soccer dropped all DA (girls and boys), GDA clubs scrambled to form GA.
Fourth year of GA, ECNL picked up Arlington and GA picked up Skyline.
