What have you been doing since getting vaccinated?

You haven’t gone to the dentist.😳😳

People that’s gross and also you can go to the dentist safely. As a profession they have always had excellent protocols for avoiding transmission of infectious diseases.

My last hair appointment was in February. My hair is not worth risking my well-being or the well-being, health, and safety of people I love.

I've been getting dry trims every couple of months. Just me and my hairdresser in the room, both masked. I know it's not zero risk but it felt like a reasonable risk to me. My husband hasn't had his hair cut by a professional in over a year - I've been using the clippers on him.

No nail appointments me since pandemic. That is a slower appointment, and seemed riskier because of that - I could paint my own toenails.

I've only had my first shot. My husband has his second. My cousin and her husband - both fully vaccinated - came over for dinner the other night. It felt so normal and abnormal at the same time. We rode in the same car yesterday too. My first time in a car with someone other than my husband in over a year. Based just on this, I think I am going to readjust ok to normal life again once it's possible - I didn't have a panic attack or anything (I worried I would). Anyway, here's to (hopefully) normalcy again soon.

Ate dinner inside the home of also-vaccinated friends that were previously limited to visits from the yard or sidewalk. Returning the favor soon.

I also find it shocking.
Granted, I haven't been and am not going to in the foreseeable future to nail salons (can cut my own nails, thankyouverymuch!) but oral hygiene is paramount.

I just started cutting my own. I am now vaccinated but not in a hurry to go back to the salon.

I’ve cut my own twice... long and layered. Actually I like my haircuts better than some of the salon ones 🤷‍♀️

Same. I have long-ish curly hair that’s not thick, and I can easily trim it myself. It’s much lower maintenance than when I had a short cut.

The big thing I’ve done since getting vaccinated is going to the gym. I’ve had a good workout routine at home, but have been yearning to lift weights rather than endless push-ups in my living room. It felt so good to be back. I wore a mask and everyone else did, too, but it still feels surreal that it’s something safe I can do.

Covid has really brought out the psychotic is people, we've been doing everything the same except with a mask and doing take home. Man no wonder america is closed got lots of craziness. I saw a lady with 2 masks and a face shield walking down the street , does she realize face shield are only for blood spatter and other bodily fluid for close surgical procedures?

No, America as a whole hasn't gone crazy. The DC area is very, very unusual. I'm down for spring break in Florida visiting my parents with my kids. Other than the airport, maybe 25% of people are wearing masks here indoors (even restaurants around here don't require them for customers). I haven't seen a single mask outdoors here.

The DC area is full of very strange, anxious people. I worry about my neighbors' mental health going forward.

According to DCUM, the DC area is definitely uniquely paranoid. But not all of the US is Florida — I live in the Midwest and people nearly universally wear masks inside here. Maybe not while pumping gas and certainly not all the time outside, but it’s very unusual, if not unheard of, to see someone unmasked inside unless they’re actively eating.

And the blast of spew when some nitwit pulls down his mask and sneezes in your direction.

If that is a serious claim, you should learn a lot more about the history of the dental profession.

As late as my early childhood, they were transmitting hepatitis and HIV pretty regularly.
