SYC big announcement

Yeah I doubt you're a parent, let alone a son with SYC. Skyline is now ECNL, Arlington boys have been in ECNL, etc. ECNL boys is becoming one of the better competitions. I understand you may not be happy, but understand I don't think you're a boys parent with SYC.

Coaching slates aren't even out yet, as said in the email. You're such a troll

Read it again. We aren't "going" to McLean. We are aligning player pools.

“Aligning player pools”...lmao just means McLean would like to take your better players into our expensive ECNL training and leave you the B team to play CCL..which the boys don’t want...nor do they want a new coach, training or merged practices. We were just fine.

Guess you didn’t get a vote then? Lord this tryout season is going to be fascinating.

The day to day operations aren't announced, but it'll likely be a larger training pool. McLean isn't taking players.

McLean sends its best players to the ECNL team, SYC sends its best players to the ECNL team. "Both clubs keep their identities". It's brought a lot of success for VDA, Richmond, etc. You don't look like a troll, you look scared.

Clearly yes I’m not a fan of a merger...and I agree tryouts will be interesting. Especially if none of the SYC boys tryout for the ECNL team and stay where they are and then beat McLean in a tournament.

Yeah, except we're gonna take your coach too.

If the alliance ECNL players can be dual rostered does that mean they have to purchase both uniforms kits? The alliance kit for the ECNL games and the MYS or SYC uniform kit for when they play with a CCL , etc team? Both clubs love to dual roster their top team players for tournaments, especially SYC.

I love how the troll comments come out when it’s something from an actual parent that this affects and you just don’t like what they are saying!

Clearly if I had a vote I would have said no thank you to a merger. Since I don’t...once again the parents will rally around our kids and make sure they are happy, getting trained well (like they already are) and do our best to not drive an hour to practice. I’m assuming neither of the current players like the idea of driving any further than they already are. I’m just not sure what SYC actually gains here...so yeah I’m bummed for my kid.

Doesn’t McLean also already have CCL teams? I’m assuming any players who don’t make the ecnl team that live that way will just go to the McLean ccl teams. Ecnl will suck SyC’s best game players in and leave them picking up some of their B team players. It’s gonna make McLean stronger and SYC weaker and yes McLean will take the best coaches...

Great job SYC...thanks for screwing us for yet another year.

EM isn't here for your kids. He's here for his CV. He's not interested in anything other than the elite. This does nothing for SYC except keep him and his friends fat and happy.

Why would either club stay in the CCL? If you are an ECNL club you will play your second team in the ECNL-r or if there are enough player have two ECNL teams.

You’re exactly right and SYC was too dumb to see if coming because their commissioner has been drooling over ECNL for years.

ECNL doesn’t allow 2 teams...that’s not even a thing

Come on people! This is the first tiny steps to end the “delusion” in the DMV. Everyone should be happy to drive more to make this possible.
