Clearly if I had a vote I would have said no thank you to a merger.  Since I don’t...once again the parents will rally around our kids and make sure they are happy, getting trained well (like they already are) and do our best to not drive an hour to practice.  I’m assuming neither of the current players like the idea of driving any further than they already are.  I’m just not sure what SYC actually gains here...so yeah I’m bummed for my kid.

Doesn’t McLean also already have CCL teams?  I’m assuming any players who don’t make the ecnl team that live that way will just go to the McLean ccl teams.  Ecnl will suck SyC’s best game players in and leave them picking up some of their B team players.  It’s gonna make McLean stronger and SYC weaker and yes McLean will take the best coaches...

Great job SYC...thanks for screwing us for yet another year.

Why would either club stay in the CCL? If you are an ECNL club you will play your second team in the ECNL-r or if there are enough player have two ECNL teams.[/quote]
