Is Crown HS being built in the QO or Wootton cluster? I can't tell from the map.

oh, it looks like it's actually in the Gaithersburg cluster.

Looks like they are putting a STEM/IT/Bioscience focus in the school. That's great. IMO, it will be great school.

It's not about the boundary study because there isn't a boundary study yet.

Yes it will be a great school. But if your kids are the first ones going to a brand new high school, that’s still a big impact on their future.

Well they will be. Imagine until 10th grade they’re with their friends, then they’re bused to a brand new high school.

Well they will be. Imagine until 10th grade they’re with their friends, then they’re bused to a brand new high school.

they will survive and be fine. It's not like they are moving across the county. Hopefully, the new programs will be great.

Totally agree.

All the boundary studies have shown us that nothing is a given. Logic never prevails. So this boundary study will be a "show" at its finest! My youngest graduates from RM this year. But I'll definitely pay attention to this process in a few years.

How does that work - the new school opens with grades 9, 10 & 11? As of now DS will be a junior @ QO in Aug 2026 when Crown HS opens. I guess we'll see what happens.

Yes. Or they could grandfather in 11th graders too.I believe they allowed that for Seneca Valley, but then again, that school already had juniors and seniors there.
