Senate Republican Conference aide arrested on child porn charges

A lot of hard core Roman Catholics are Republican. I would not be surprised if a lot of there pedos were molested by priests.

Of course not- sick people (mainly men and mainly white) of all political and religious persuasions do sh&$%^ and sick things. But you do realize that this plot line is a key tenet of Q - that the Democrats are running a child porn ring. There is zero eve Odense if that - but when hard Cate Republicans get caught doing exactly what they are accusing others of doing, their “projection” looks petty suspect and I wonder how many others are involved. Sick hypocrites.

Of course, it’s extra ironic.

This guy was hardly a big shot, though. The PP claiming there’s some kind of organized GOP mafia is reaching.

It only has to be a big shot for it to matter to you? The guy is hardly some yokel living in Kansas doing campaign flyers for the county clerk. He was the direct liason for the entire Republican Senate Majority during much of Trump's presidency.

On top of that - is the House Page scandal small beans to you? Or do you not remember the fact that the Republican FL-16 Congressional Rep got caught in a sexting scandal with the page boys of his and other offices.

You seem happy to use this to score political points. Personally, I just think it’s sick.

Of course it’s sick. That’s why no one should be accused of it with zero evidence, as the Q Republicans are constantly doing to prominent Democrats and celebrities. That’s the political point people are making.

This. But you’re wasting your breath. PP is a RWNJ who will shriek at you without irony about John Weaver until his fingers cramp. Rs are congenitally unable to talk honestly about their own sex scandals. That PP probably mocked Trump’s accusers. You’re trying to reason with scum. It does not work.

Sorry, you could not be more wrong. Just think viewing this crime through a partisan lens is in really poor taste.

DP. So you look at that list of almost 600 Republicans who have been charged with an assortment of crimes in the constellation of sexual violence against children and think nothing of that?

I wish I had never learned that people would have sex with babies. I knew child pron existed and some people liked very young children, but I never knew or thought or imagined that someone would try to have sex with an infant and I am so sick and freaked out and omg.

Of course not. But some posters on this thread seem downright gleeful that these perpetrators are Republicans because it reinforces their worldview, and I think that’s gross.

NP. No one is gleeful. Wanting to have sex is a hideous sickness and crime.

If you listen, what I and others are tired of is conservative hypocrisy. So many sociopaths and perverts hide behind christian values, giving to the poor, and looking like a stand up citizen. Just like this Ruben Verastigui appears to be doing. I've seen it over and over throughout the years. There just seems to be something about the Republican brand that draws these types of people and gives them a false cover.

Can you please point to who seems gleeful? I’m one of the ones who doesn’t necessarily think there’s an organized cabal of these criminals in the GOP, but I do think there is a line between the cruelty and selfishness of their politics and these crimes. It does look like an issue in the GOP, and what do they do about it? Accuse the Democrats and famous actors of being part of some huge conspiratorial sex ring that victimizes children. Like that’s bat sht crazy talk and just a plain disgusting thing to do.

Something is totally and completely rotten in the GOP.

Well, the OP seems to be making light of it:

Hey GOP/QAnon - the calls are coming from within the house.

And the person who seems to care more about the political angle than the actual crime:

Looking forward to your sad little ancient history whataboutisms.

Look, the whole Q thing is clearly insane projection. But on the John Weaver thread, you had posters dismissing the story because it was initially leaked through right-wing media. And on the Epstein threads, Trump's friendship with the creep is a problem, but any mention of Bill Clinton's involvement is called both sides-ism.

I think all these people are predators, so annoyed by people who seem to care more about the issue when "the other team" is at fault.

Really , 600 have been charged and convicted ? Wow

Is there a list of this anywhere and why isn’t this as big of a story as the Catholic Church ?

If they have been convicted it should be a NYT series

There’s a list of this on the first page of this thread. It’s a twitter thread that someone started to keep track of all the GOP who have been charged with (and some some tried and found guilty of; I haven’t read the thread in a while because it’s rage inducing) crimes related to sex crimes against children.
