He charges a $2500 flat fee and advertises all over the US with professional photography included. I googled his business and was extremely impressed with their 5 star reviews and no negatives. $200 for full detail and reasonable contract with no hidden costs and nothing shady. He told me a 10% commission was ridiculous. I’m meeting him next week to drop car.

Amazing. After you are done, please share here so that the rest of us can also make use of this service.

The market is very "thin" so you need to spread your wings wide. Bring a Trailer only accepts a few cars, so yours needs to be unique to get accepted. It can take a few weeks at least -- I have a friend who sold a very rare Alfa from the 1970s on there.

You can also try carsandbids.com from Doug DeMuro. It's good exposure -- he has over a million followers -- and they are a lot less selective.

You can indeed take it to Carmax. They will low-ball you since they are just going to send it for wholesale, probably to Carlisle. They don't sell cars that expensive on their lot.

Then there are enthusiast groups. The issue there is for many models, the numbers of people in there is not that many so it's a small market. I own a car by a rare automaker, and I'd guess only 1/3 of owners are active in the online forums/owner groups.

If you were really an "exotic car owner" you would know that no lamborghini, ferrari or even R8 sells for 140k new, which is what OP claims the car was purchased for. Therefore this car is below even an R8 and in no way classifies as exotic.

You know an Aston Martin can be bought for $140k, is that not exotic? I can buy a new R8 for that too, but neither of those drop that far in a few years.

Wow you’re good! It’s one of these actually..

The only one on that list that fits is the Panamera, and good luck selling one. Book might be $95k, but they don’t sell for that much. The others on that list have higher values, and the NSX was not around in 2015

One of these is not like the others. One of these just doesn’t belong.

Agreed. I was also thinking R8. Honestly it's not that hard to sell an R8 and you don't need a special middle man. Just go request blue book value from a dealer or carmax. I believe if you took a poll, most people would not consider an R8 exotic, although it is certainly a very cool car.

Neither a dealer nor carmax will give you anywhere close to blue book.

Exactly! Obviously people didn’t understand my question. If I’m not wanting to pay 10% commission to my DHs friend why would I pay 40% or more to a dealer!?! I’m sure these same people would freak out when they got the dealers offer!

Then keep the d@mn gift. It’s not that expensive of a car.

Daddy Warbucks what do you drive? When I drive my car i can’t put gas in it without getting approached and I don’t know how many times someone has rolled down their windows to take photos. I make my DH gas it up because of the men bothering me. But he says, “it’s just an excuse because your hot”. Btw last year we discussed trading it in and getting me a Rolls Royce Wraith but I am really over driving around in these attention seeking vehicles. It was fun for a while but now I feel it’s just obnoxious! Not to mention the anxiety trying to find a parking space. I will literally park in the furthest parking spot where no cars are and it never fails some piece of crap will park right next to me.

The NSX and AMG did not exist in 2015
The 570 is worth more than $95k
The Vantage and Bentley can be bought for mid 80s.

My guess is you think a 2015 Bentley is somehow high end and worth a lot. It’s a nice car, but can be bought for well under $95k and screams "pretend rich". The only people you’re impressing are the ones that don’t know how cheap they are.

They’re cheap until they need a mechanic

And just an fyi, your sketchy "friend" who wants a $10k nut just to sell it will take advantage of you and "sell" the car to one of his pals for far less than it's worth.

Mercedes G wagon is probably the worse ride I’ve ever experienced. Went on a double date with friends and sat in the back. I had to go to the dentist because I chipped half my teeth! Horrible driving vehicle.

It’s a military vehicle that was never intended for civilian use, but an importer sold them as exclusive and Mercedes eventually saw the demand and did it themselves

My guess is you are a serious HATER that drives a smart car. Or in your case a dumbass car. You are delusional if you think a car in this category is “cheap!” Depending on the model, mileage etc.. These can run close to 100K not to mention the upkeep and insurance. Go back to your video games and dream..

Actually I own an exotic car that was well over $200k. I just don’t think it’s a big deal. You’re trying to impress people with a car that’s worth less than my pickup truck. A $100k car is pretty normal around here, sorry to disappoint you.
