Colleague hit my car

OP, do you have proof that she is insured to begin with? She may be trying to avoid getting arrested for being uninsured. Point blank ask her. And if you go the way of she pays/don't involve insurers get her agreement in writing that she's going to pay. I would demand payment in advance of the repairs because she could try and stiff you. Did this happen at the office? If additional problems develop you may want to report to HR

just tell her that you are getting the sense she's going to balk at actually paying the full cost of the damage she caused and to save anxiety and grief, you're just going through insurance. Be prepared that she may lie. I hope you have stuff in writing about her guilt.

Also remember this is way after the fact, neither of you reported it to insurance company. If I was other driver I have you check for $850

My sister got hit twice both times got estimate at local body shop cash price. Told other person amount. They have her check. Neither time did she fix it. There is no timeline to fix it.

Lot of time issues is miscommunications. I had some crazy lady in used Mercedes ask for dealership prices on a small scuff. She produced a quote. I ended up not paying. Told her to report it

It is not petty. If her car takes 2 weeks to repair at $30/day, that's over $400!
