Where did McLean go wrong?

Anonymous
McLean has 1-2 college players playing on their oldest ECNL team right now. Loudoun and Richmond do as well. College freshman who never went to college due to Covid closures but are still within the age cutoff are permitted to play in ECNL.

Can you provide a list of commitments? I'm curious to see the schools.

I was wondering about the 2021 commits

2021 commits = lots of D3, an Ivy or two, the typical VA Tech and most at very low level Florida schools (Miami, South Florida etc) The McLean top college attraction ended last year with the 2020s (really the 2019s)

Are you sad and mad because it's true? Don't strike out on the little things. Stick to the topic. Loser.

Sorry your feelings got hurt McLean Mom!

Really a snide and biased triple posted comment...failed to mention Wake Forest, two players at Georgetown, and saying South Florida is a low level program makes no sense. SF was 16-5 last year and lost by a goal to Florida State in third round of NCAA tournament.

These haters are either Karens whose kids didn't make McLean or girls who didn't get invited back to tryouts and are lashing out.

LOL. Why does the truth that mclean is no better than the other area ECNL and GA clubs hurt you so? Truth sucks sometimes, but it is what it is.

Let’s face it. The only thing that matters is your kids age group. I do not care about the age above or below.

I can understand not caring about the age group below but do you not care about experience?

If a college coach has had players from a certain club or coach help his/her program and even maybe go off to play pro, do you not think that coach is more inclined to go back to that coach/club again? Or maybe even they were recruiting that player and didn't get her and she ends up playing them and doing well. The relationships between college coaches and club coaches does matter.

Do you go to restaurants with good reviews or poor reviews?
Would you rather have a lawyer with experience and success or the opposite?

Everyone wants McLean to drop off but as long as they keep the coaches they have which they are the only club in the area that has been able to do that, then they are still going to be the best club in this area. It is that simple.

And please understand that doesn't mean other clubs won't do well. This area will always have multiple teams that do well and send players to colleges. My point is that McLean is a sure thing in every age group which no other club can say that especially now that FCV is in the 2nd tier league. After their 04 and 05 teams, FCV will struggle to compete again.

You either have mental issues that don't allow you to reason or think logically or you are emotionally disturbed and feel the need to harass people.

I think there is enough information in the above posts to confirm that McLean is probably the best club in the area at placing players at top college programs. FCV, Bethesda and MUFC have great track records as well but you are hard pressed to find a program that has 14 players that are playing for or will playing for 2019 NCAA qualifying teams.

you are basing this on one year of effort. McLean typically commits to Ivy Leagues etc since they draw from very high income areas. In general, they do commit a lot of girls to D1 teams that are far lower than most of the other clubs in the area.
