Right, we have won very, very few games this season. So it is an issue. I do think some overlap/cross training is a good thing, but when you are completely lacking someone who is a fit for certain positions on the team, I see that as a problem.

Stop complaining. Just pay your premium fees and keep quiet. This is not about you or your kid, this is about Tommy exploiting the community so he can enjoy a salary two to three times higher than any other Director in the region.

I'm the poster who is unhappy with my child's team arrangement, and I agree that the level of obsession on this site about Tommy Park and his salary is crazy.

His salary aside, the guy has done more for the Alexandria Soccer program then had ever been done before. I dont know why all the hate. Remove his bloated salary from the discussion and let us know why he is a iiability? I am listening and really want to know.

I do see the impact he and his programs have had so show me the other side that I dont see. I'd like to know and maybe you can convince me im on the road side of the fence

Can you explain what he did that went beyond what was done before? General statements like this are unhelpful. We need specifics.

So do we. We are still waiting to hear all the bad stuff he’s done. Like hiring coaches who became VYSA and CCL Coaches of the Year. Taking the club into CCL based in large part on substantial investment in enhancing access for kids who might not otherwise play. Being one of 17 out of 175 clubs nationally to be accepted as a supplemental club in MLS Next. Winning Futsal national championships as a club (not as a Futsal only collection of players, as in other major metro areas). Now that’s due to the efforts of a lot of people. But I think a lot of this happened on his watch. I am not saying that this justifies substantial salaries or salary increases of any individual. And other people and clubs are doing great things too. But this isn’t a bad record.

LMVSC and SYC have similar claims. We vilify those clubs, but why does Alexandria get a pass? Maybe if you over pay, you’re not allowed to complain.

Get a life. I am an Alexandria parent and fawn over nothing. But facts are facts. LMVSC lost their top coaches and is renting teams to play CCL. And I said "other people and clubs are doing great things too" - SYC has turned things around organizationally, coaching, and leaguewise (taking coaches and teams from LMVSC instead of developing more organically, but you do what you gotta do and see if it works). Complain as you want. I still haven't heard the real basis for complaint other than "somebody is making more money than me." Anything else? I thought as much.

Speak for yourself not "we." I don't "vilify" any club and most people on this board don't either.
