The annual cost is for her age group is $2400 or $2450, cant recall exactly. She doesnt do any "camps" at her age. She trains 3 times a week. Plays CCL schedule and EDP. Plays at minimum two outside tournaments in addition to the Alexandria tournaments and the CCL showcase tournaments.
There is no other cost. None. Oh wait uniform every 2 or 3 years. Thats it She plays futsal but that is optional and cannot be factored into the cost of soccer. Its like adding volleyball into the cost of soccer in my mind. The two are distinctly different and if I chose not to incur that cost then I am back to the number above $2400 And as for the person that said parents must volunteer at tournaments. Nonsense. The club is community oriented. Participate if you want and if not like most then dont. They ask for help and the overwhelming majority are too busy to do so. A handle do to be part of their childs experience. Nothing really unusual about this. What did I miss? In short, I dont pay any fees at all beyond what the cost is at the start of the season and mentioned above. Unlike the prior club I was with where we were told we were entering a tournament and had to come out of pocket for this tournament then the next then the next. Oh and by the way the coach fee to travel and his hotel and food needs to be covered. All of that is inclusive in what I pay at Alexandira. Its one of the reasons I like the club. I know my cost. its fixed and I dont get nickle and dimed I hope that helps |
So with futsal and uniforms, you’re looking at around $3,200-$3,300? Does the team train during the futsal season? |
| yes absolutely. Two nights per week indoors. Includes a futsal league with games every Sunday. Also includes at a minimum 3 tournaments usually 4. One of those tournament is the Northeast regional Qualifier in Atlantic City. All of that is baked into the cost of Futsal |
| Just to be clear you asked does the team train during the futsal season. I thought you were referencing the futsal team. If you meant does the outdoor team train through the entire futsal season the answer is No. There is a winter break period of downtime that the club adheres to. It starts once the CCL season wraps up and kicks back in mid january. so its short but consider it 4 weeks or so roughly |

What Alexandria girls team is playing EDP and CCL??
Please tell what other tournaments you do besides the 2 Alexandria tournaments |
Red. Whatever is available. My girl will peak at HS. |
| Any reason you didn’t consider LMVSC at 1900/year or Arlington at 2100/year? I know proximity is important, but those prices are better. |
|
If you live in Alexandria, there are two options: Alexandria or Lee-Mt Vernon. Which means you have one option: Alexandria.
You could travel to Arlington, SYC, BRYC but that’s it; prices aren’t cheaper. |
The prices are not better, they are the same or worse. Again the cost alexandria puts forth is all inclusive. no add ons. Other clubs use a lower annual fee then hit you with tournament fees each and every tournament, league fees, coach fees, coach travel and so on and so on Im not saying Alexandria is cheap its on par with others. What it is for sure is predictable upfront and consistent which cant be said for many of the others |

Where do you all come up with these costs. Arlington $2100????
Direct from their website $2400 http://arlingtonsoccer.com/programs/development-academy/fees Now add in the fees they dont list like tournament and so on. Ask for all costs. As for the LMVSC option thats just ridiculous. Do you see whats going on over there. Its a mass exodus of players. |

SYC is 1850
PWSI is 1900 Why is Alexandria running $500+ more than other clubs? I know people in Alexandria have a lot of disposable income, but should we have to pay a 20% premium? |
|
wow you people do not read do you
Just pull numbers form anywhere. The last poster showed the cost of Arlington when it was incorrectly randomly stated as much less I wont bother doing that for you and your SYC PWSI question. If cost is such an issue for you then go play at SYC is 50 less than PWSI., good luck with that |
Re Arlington - $2400 is the fee for the DA teams. It's possible that regular travel teams, or younger age groups, or both are indeed $2100 as the PP suggested. However you do need to add the team fee to that to cover tournament fees, spare uniforms, performance training, coaches expenses etc. The team fee varies depending on how many tournaments are planned - but $400-$500 is probably a reasonable budget. Any hotel and flight costs will be on top of this. The bottom line is that Alexandria's fees, give that they seem to include much or all of the team fees other clubs charge (I'm basing that off what I read on this thread - I have no direct knowledge) don;t seem unreasonable to me. If you want to talk daylight robbery - then you should look at Loudoun. They were charging almost $5K for the DA teams when they still had DA. |
| Premium price would be upwards of 4k. Most travel clubs are 1900-2800 |
5k was in line with other DA clubs across the country. So stop. |
