Amazon announced it too so that must have been before COVID but it is very job/supervisor specific. My spouse rarely went into the office pre-covid, and worst a few weeks at a time of twice a week. |
What SV company is so flush with cash to pay their lawyers $300k other than FAANG? Or are those for GC positions, ie the very top lawyer at a huge legacy company? |
| If you’re actually a “top MBA” I think you’d know the many reliable places to find that information. This isn’t one of them. |
Check out the Fortune 20. Lawyers work at all of them. |
Oh those aren't Silicon Valley HQ companies, you just happen to be a lawyer working for BerkshireHathaway in the Bay Area. |
| I work for a big tech company in DC area as a programmer. 3 years out of college. W2 income on track to being 220k this year. |
right, but federal has awesome health plan and a pension and stability. A small Boost in income to do private in house just doesn’t seem worth it |
No not true. Amazon entry level below $100K, Facebook entry level $150, Google around the same. Amazon does a odd bonus structure seems like getting more than you are in the beginning. Facebook hires idiots for their entry level usually wash outs from Ivies. Google has some hiring issues as well. Amazon much better at weeding out except for the people that lie on their resumes say they have a college degree in tech and they don't Amazon not great at checking apprently. |
I work at a Fortune 1000 company. Our lowest paid lawyer makes $180k. Most make between that and the low $200s. The top third make around $275k-7 figures. No one works much more than govt attorneys except during an occasional crisis. |
Agree with this but Amazon weeds out a lot of good people with their crazy interviews. They have a bonus structure and stock. |
Op here. I’m a SAHM. DH earns a seven figure income. My ex just started working for Facebook. Have no idea what he is doing there. He went to HBS. He is not a techie. I would be interested in working at Amazon. My background is in finance. I am five years out of the workforce and don’t plan on working again for another two years. I used to earn 200-300k before I stopped working. |
So why not ask your moneybags breadwinner or his friends? |
So you married your DH for his money but you miss your ex and you've been stalking him online? |
I have been with DH for almost 20 years. I dated this guy over 20 years ago. The ex was always my Facebook friend. He rarely posted anything. Now he is the most active person on my feed after he started working for Facebook. His wife also posts a lot and tags him. I don’t necessarily want to know about their everyday lives. I don’t dislike him. I just don’t need to know when they go hiking or when his wife posts monthly milestones of their children. I was just curious how much these tech giants paid. I’m very familiar with finance, law and medicine. Not so much with tech. |
$75K-$600K+... good you married for money as your husband makes plenty. |
