You do realize folks are walking in neighborhoods or in a cafe setting with no mask thinking they’re distanced, but realistically not? The idea that being outside makes it ok ALL the time is a real mindset for many. (I wasn’t asking for myself btw) |
Oh, well. Find a real problem. I swear, this entire panic smacks of UMC women who final found something to live for. |
La di dah yourself Your observations are not reality. |
I am quite chill, thank you, this was my first post on the thread. You know 1% means 1 out of 100 right? Anyhow, my point is not about risk assessment it was a specific point calling you out for saying you don't (didn't) have it when in fact this is impossible to know (unless you're doing regular testing .) Learn. |
So basically, the textbook definition of virtue signaling. |
| Not wearing a mask in a more crowded public place is also "virtue signaling" now too. |
+1 and I find ppl like you to be insane |
I work in risk assessment, thanks. You should pick up a textbook. |
No, it's the default. Come on, you can't really believe your nonsense, can you? |
They are, actually. I have friends in rural America who don't have time for this crap because they're trying to afford groceries and shoes for their kids. |
|
I'm very pro mask but I don't get this gazebo business OP. Even if the whole family was masked up, I still wouldn't CHOOSE to go sit next to them in that gazebo. Masks aren't some kind of magical talisman. Meadowlark is huge, so go sit somewhere else.
Masks indoors are another story, and even then I only spend time in proximity to people in masks when it is necessary and when I can keep the exposure brief. I think you are just annoyed that they were squatting, but it has nothing to do with masks, because if you would have voluntarily gone and sat next to them if they were in masks then you aren't all that concerned about COVID either. |
And you know what's REAL funny? You're basically not ok with this because I'm faking, but you'd never insist a sleeping person wear a mask. There's ZERO difference in risk, lady. |
Hey, guess what. I’m not upper middle class, live in DC and my job is shut down until the numbers go way down. So I need everyone to wear a mask when they’re near other people. my kid needs food too. And going to Goodwill right now makes me too nervous so we could definitely use some shoes as well. Rural America needs to wear a mask also. Just because it’s not a hotspot where they are right now doesn’t mean it won’t be because they’re blowing this off. Look at Texas. |
|
It's really obnoxious to wear a mask when you're either by yourself/with your family unit, outside AND not within 10 feet or so of others.
I'm not a scientist, but given the how much we heard about protesters weren't in danger because they wore masks, despite being shoulder to shoulder, I'd feel pretty safe maskless outside. But out of courtesy, If I'm walking and someone else is approaching me on the same block, I'd put the mask on. Tbh I wish all these mask fanatics would put their efforts towards something more useful like shaming people who text while drive, or mow down pedestrians and bikers. |
So you really have zero input about the real world. I know. I grew up there. |
