How to have a boy?

Things I've read related to conceiving a boy:

- Younger age of mother
- Less environmental pollution
- Higher protein diet
- Sex during ovulation rather than 1-2 days before

Bananas, cereal and a few more calories

It is controversial but reproduction in mammals is the study's author life focus.

Why do you want a boy? What makes them better than girls?

I want a boy because we have 2 girls and I know DH wants a boy. I wouldn’t mind 3 girls though.

That send perfectly reasonable. I don't know why others are giving you a hard time about that.

Yes. All the older parents have girls for the most part! I know girl embryos are stronger and more likely to survive than boys...

I’m a boy mom and know lots of older parents with boys. The best/only want to increase your chances of a boy is to do IVF with gender selection.

My mom had me at 36 and my fraternal twin brothers at 40 (they were unplanned, not in vitro). There's definitely a case for XX being stronger than XY, but I agree that PP's experience is anecdotal (like ours).

This thread is hilarious! Well, apparently, I am a pro at helping to make boys, as I have 4 of them (1 girl). I have no clue what the trick was though.

This is just a study citing a trend with some factors for the whys of it but I know plenty of people that contradict this even though they say there are more that follow this trend.

I was super thin and athletic and had two boys. Guess I am the exception in this study. I did however ate a lot of spicy food and I read somewhere (post kids) that this increases boy chance.

I'm also pretty thin/athletic, don't diet but also eat pretty clean... and I have a boy AND a girl!

I know a couple that did IVF specifically to get a boy after having two girls. They had no medical need for it, but cash to spare and they wanted a balanced family.

I had both of my boys in my mid 30s while being a smoker and disdaining vegetables.
I do know how probability works though

I haven’t heard the slim thing (and I’m definitely an exception) but I’ve heard that prettier women tend to have girls. I have noticed that, including myself

How old is DS now?
