JUICE. Coincidence?

And teens on TikToc posted a satirical video of themselves having a seizure while dancing to Juice Wrld's "I have these lucid dreams." (ask your kids; they've probably seen the vide). His death following a drug-induced seizure should be a surprise to no one.

If you feel sorry for him because you think he's some sort of poor victim, consider:

-his private jet was searched upon landing, and police located in his luggage: 3 loaded handguns, armor-piercing bullets, 4 bottles of codeine-cough syrup, and 71 pounds of high power marijuana (personal use?).

To our vulnerable teens, he promoted and glamorized drug abuse; even his rapper name was teen-drug-inspired. I do not see him as the hero some of you seem to think he was.

His name was inspired by the movie Juice, which Tupac starred in.

-according to Juice.

And Paul McCartney claimed "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds" was about a girl named Lucy.

How gullible are you??

Private planes etc. he was loving the drug life. It wasn't negatively impactig his life. He seemed to love being high. He had a girlfriend, friends, a career, money etc.

He openly struggled with mental illness, he tried to get clean, he was self-aware and asked important questions about the way we prescribe powerful drugs to kids from very young ages. Maybe suspend your judgment a bit. If you have teenagers, I guarantee they or their peers are affected by this.

Thank you.
He wondered about the impacts of the ADHD drug he got prescribed in 5th grade on his well-being.
RIP, Juice WRLD.

Too bad he didn’t stay on the adhd meds. Maybe he could have done without the pot and Percocets. He was obviously self medicating.

- the 6 bottles of codeine cough syrup found on his jet suggest he was partying, not "obviously self medicating."

You also missed: "71 lbs. (pounds) of high grade marijuana."

He expressed vulnerability in a culture that doesn’t allow young men, especially young black men, to do that. Many teens and young people are really feeling this loss.

Exact same situation here. I prefer other types of music, but my teens love rap. Last year, one of my sons went through a really tough breakup with a long-time girlfriend, and he was struggling with it. All the songs on Juice Wrld's Goodbye and Good Riddance were about his struggles after a breakup, and every time my rap-hating DH traveled for work, my son would pull up youtube so we could talk about each song in detail, including what things Juice Wrld was capturing in his lyrics that expressed what my son was feeling. It was torture for me at first, because I didn't like the music and just heard "Drugs, drugs, drugs, evil b*tches, drugs, guns, drugs." But after a few weeks of this, I started appreciating how clever and sincere many of the songs were. I honestly think that album helped my son work through his emotions and get to an OK place much more quickly than he otherwise would have.

We did talk at the time about how nice it would be if Juice Wrld was handling his problems by talking to family and friends and getting lots of exercise and sleep instead of self-medicating with substances, but at no time did I (or have I ever) felt like my kids wanted to emulate that lifestyle just many because the rappers they love take part in all the dangerous stuff.

Calm down. He was an artist and people liked his music.

To many kids, he was a role model. read the lyrics posted above. he's messed up and kids are listening to this crap. The guy had many demons and he is being glamorized.

Its one thing to struggle with addiction; many artists do.

Juice Wrld promoted his abuse; even named himself after his favorite teen drug, thereby glamorizing it to all the kids who looked up to him. And you wonder why the US has an opiod crisis?? (gee thanks, Juice ).

Yet you still want to hold him up as some kind of hero? A poor victim? (the man owned a private jet).

You don't know jackshit about the reasons for the opioid crisis. STFU

You are a great mom!
Juice Wrld seems to have been a sensitive, fragile kid with access to too much drugs and money. It is sad there was nobody there to look out for him.
