I have sympathy for the addicts struggling to survive in cruel poverty - the ones who are homeless, can't get treatment and have no shot at having a normal life. Yes, in some cases it is mental health related and in other cases it's experimenting and then getting addicted. Whatever the reason, this guy spoke often about his addiction but refused to do anything about it despite having the funds to get the best treatment possible. It sucks that he was so young and I feel bad for his family, but really, what was he expecting with that type of lifestyle?

And teens on TikToc posted a satirical video of themselves having a seizure while dancing to Juice Wrld's "I have these lucid dreams." (ask your kids; they've probably seen the vide). His death following a drug-induced seizure should be a surprise to no one.

If you feel sorry for him because you think he's some sort of poor victim, consider:

-his private jet was searched upon landing, and police located in his luggage: 3 loaded handguns, armor-piercing bullets, 4 bottles of codeine-cough syrup, and 71 pounds of high power marijuana (personal use?).

To our vulnerable teens, he promoted and glamorized drug abuse; even his rapper name was teen-drug-inspired. I do not see him as the hero some of you seem to think he was.

I think it’s sad that he was clearly very deep into a drug issue, had plenty of money for treatment, and no one could help him. Just an out of control kid.

Was he from an affluent family or was wealth a new thing for him? I'm sure that if he came from a poor family there is a learning curve involved with getting proper help and treatment. He was also under pressure to perform I'm sure. Fame comes with a price.
