DCUM has a weird hatred of long hair that I don’t see in the real world.

There are a lot of neurotic weirdos on here.

Not to mention the number of people who are surprisingly certain about what will look best on an anonymous stranger they’ve never seen.

So true. This forum skews older, and I guess there’s a vocal and obsessive segment who look old and witchy with long hair. They advise everyone to chop it all off, even if it’s healthy and shiny. It kills them to see even children with long hair!

Agreed. Long hair is universally attractive. There's a reason most of the Victoria's Secret models have long hair, especially during the Angels show, and celebrities spend $$$ on hair extensions.

Yes, long dumpy hair is not a good look, but so is short dumpy hair.

Long layers. Use loose curlers while it dries.

Wow. DCUM hates long hair. I'm glad the girls and some women living near my house have beautiful long hair. You're just jealous, or perhaps not living in the right neighborhood.

I think one or two people here don't like it. The rest of us have gorgeous long hair.

Fixed that for you.

There is a mom from school with super long more gray than black hair way past her butt. The wags it back and forth and thinks she's super sexy. In reality she looks like she has room on her broom.

What's "older" for you? I see women in their 50's and 60's with super long hair and it just looks weird.
It looks as weird as an middle aged man with long hair.

These women look beautiful with their long hair. The women of DCUM are seriously flawed with their anti-long hair stance.

Fine, thin, hair and not a lot of it, always looks really bad regardless of age. Long thick hair, and a lot of it looks great on any age. For a lot of women with thin hair, shorter/medium length hair will look like a huge improvement to your overall appearance.

The middle one is the only one whose hair looks nice- but that is not what any women I've seen, outside of older woman models (the lady with the grey hair in the Lands End catalog comes to mind), looks like. It isn't just about hair, which just isn't as nice as you age, long short or anything in between. Your face gets thinner and loses volume as you age too and long hair draws attention to those aging qualities.

This. Also the lady in the first photo has clearly had Botox and fillers. So she has a young face with old hair. If she had a more normal face with that hair she would look MUCH older.

I live on an island and women of all ages (myself included) have waist length hair. I do big, loose curls.
