MLMers: please also logically think this over:

-Why does this topic keep appearing on Facebook, DCUM, podcasts, and the news? And with much criticism?

-Why do people have to buy in, in order to sell the products?

-Do you truly think people are jealous of this career choice, and that is why they are slamming the industry?

-If this career choice was so popular and lucrative, why are people still working in other jobs?

-What will happen to your product once others are selling it/purchasing it? Is there longevity there? Will the market get saturated?

-Why do some of your friends and family avoid you now? Do you have less "likes" on Facebook now?

I truly ask this in hopes that you think this through. Time and time again I see women preying on other women to sell products so they can "work from home" or be a "mom boss".

Any time a company asks me to give them money before I can sell their product is a RED FLAG. Anyone that wants me to saturate their own selling market is a RED FLAG (because they are getting a piece of your pie by signing you up under them- less work for them!!).

Please be careful and read reviews before you fall into a trap like this.

+1 to all of this! I’ll also add two additional questions:
1. If selling this stuff is so easy and lucrative that it can be done via your phone while at the beach or poolside, why am I seeing countless posts from the top sellers, and even middle earners, at these companies about how hard they’ve worked and all the late nights they’ve sacrificed to either get to the top or at least try? It would appear they’re hustling pretty hard to get and stay where they are, so why not get a f/t job with benefits or even something p/t that’s at least got some stability?
2. Why the secrecy about paychecks? I get that it’s sales and there’s going to be variations but reputable businesses with sales teams usually release their commission structure, or at the very least, don’t prevent their employees from doing so.

I don't sell or buy these products. But I certainly don't begrudge anyone trying to make a living.

They do it by recruiting desperate women and putting them into debt to make a profit. You are not the customer, the downline is.

I do not care much for the designs and the material looks shabby.

I love it when the R&F women try to push that they're "small business owners". Um, no.

And the hate comes from how the sales are done. When one of the R&F moms on my DD's sports team used the emergency contact list to get my cell phone number and start to text me about her "amazing products", that's what pissed me off. Then she recruited another mother who sidled up to me, acting like we were now besties, to get me to buy her crap. I had been friendly with these two women, and our DDs were teammates who enjoyed hanging out, but after this experience, we were done. I was friendly, but put a lot of distance between us. Our alleged "friendship" was just a business transaction to them.

Hell one of these women uses her son's special needs to push the products on social media. It's really disgusting.

Most businesses are not passed down to kids. That does not mean they are not a business. You don't understand business, you only understand "jobs". You don't get how it works.
