Actually, not many. Both teams played really good possession based soccer. Neither team were playing long ball to the big girl...if that's what you are suggesting.

So next year they will not be as good?

It is a big deal to have two area teams playing in the national title game for two separate age groups. Well done!

I don~t know what PDA is doing but the club had teams in each age bracket and only team not to advance was the u18;19 team which came in 2nd place in its group. The club won the u13 age group. That is amazing. Kudos to VDA U13 for making a 2nd place run and to McLean u18;u19 for advancing to the finals.

They are PDA. They are arguably the most recognizable and successful club in the US and have been for some time.

National runner-ups. Be proud.

Thats two national runner -ups from the MA division.

I think a couple of MA Division teams still battling for the title.

Actually, I think that does it for the MA ECNL teams

Someone said that the MA division was weak. I would argue that it is on the same level as any other league. If you remove PDA, the NE conference is weak.

Yep - just saw the results

Two MA 04 teams lost today in the National Quarterfinals

(one lost to PDA. Go figue)

Still a decent showing. Competed well with the big boys like Hawks, Stars, PDA and the like.

Not true.

#1. Everyrhing is age group specific.

#2. PDA is a juggernaut. Always has been.

#3. The NE is very strong in ECNL and only will get stronger with NYCFC leaving the DA and their player pool going primarily to World Class. In fact, many people in the NE will tell you that ECNL is way stronger than DA.

#4. Take FCV out of the equation. What do you have? MU and Arlington? (See how the game is played)

Heres the truth.

There a good teams in both leagues and many times its age group specific. Very Very Very few clubs can field great teams in every age group. Only the national powerhouse type clubs can...PDA, Hawks, Stars, FCV, Tophat, Surf, Etc.

My point is that McLean is a strong club that sent a u14, u16, u17 and u18/19 teams to ECNL nationals. VDA competed well as did most of the other MA teams in attendance. If you remove PDA from the NE, the NE conference had a weak showing. The NE might be overrated.

I understand your point.

However, i believe the NE division is very strong. Truth be told, I'm happy they are strong. Good competetion close by makes for good regional showcases, like ECNL NJ, which brought out east coast scouts.

Is this game going to be live streamed?
