| I don’t think so. It really is a measure of how your child is doing in all levels. There is wonderful balance at this school. My shy boy is thriving in his classes, he has a terrific group of friends and yes he is trying sports. He is happy. I want my child to be happy. |

Landon parent here. We love the school. My son has been there since 5th grade and is in high school. To the incoming high school class parents, it's a great group and I know many of the new boys too.
On colleges. We send our son to Landon for a myriad of reasons. Ivy League was never in our plans, and he will likely attend a solid liberal arts college. We send him there because we know he is getting a good education, we like the sports, we like that the teachers and administration know our child and care about him. My son has a fabulous group of well rounded friends and is happy and thriving. |
+1000 Completely agree. We send our son to Landon and he loves it and will be well prepared for college. Happy kid, not overly stressed out, good athlete, going to a good college. Can't complain. |

I am thrilled with Landon. And I was a skeptic. The upper school is especially strong and the head is terrific. They really strive to understand the boys.
My son has gone through a few hard things, not school related, and the entire school, the exceptional nurse, and faculty has been incredibly supportive and worked with us. All schools have their faults, however, the old Landon reputation is really unwarranted. The kids are terrific, hard working, interesting, and care about each other. And, no, you don’t have to be a super jock/Alpha male type of guy to fit in and thrive there. |

I like Landon but the school is way overprice for what you get ( academics and sports)
I do not see any thing that justified 43K a year tuition |
Everyone sees value differently, I guess. |
All of these schools are in the 42-47k range. It is, what it is. |
All of these schools are overpriced. As long as school boards feel parents will pay the tuition, the price is only going up. |
| Not a fan. Toxic masculinity abounds. |
Isn't this true of all of the privates? They all cost around the same, and they all yield the same perfectly fine but not amazing results. |
Keep telling yourself that. |
Oh please. Stop posting Landon Mommy. This one is really too much. |
| Anyone have a Department of Corrections placement? |

Oh please - get over your-clever-selves.
Landon today, is a good fit for DS academically, socially and culturally. They understand boys, teachers and coaches engage with students and they have high expectations for the boys. And thus far, the community has been very welcoming without the social-climbing "only Ivy will do for my precious" drama we hear about inside the beltway. Happy DS = Happy parents. Totally worth it to us good luck to you seeking to only climb the Ivy Tower... |
