Multiple families, a whole bunch of little girls in the 6-8 year old range and a lone 2.5 year old boy. Who likes to run. A lot. (sigh) Is there anything that would be fun and would not be terrible with our token toddler? Was hoping for something a little less child friendly than a typical kid-event that we'd do on a weekend.

Seriously this is the weirdest and worst parenting trend I’ve ever seen. Parents drinking wine while their kids run around. WTF. You guys are going to say it’s fine but really? We (group of adults) went to a winery last year. 20 and 30 somethings all drinking wine with babies running around. Toddler in the parking lot while the really cool parent picnicking with olives, cheese and bread enjoying their Chardonnay. Seriously? What a trend. Parent your kids. Get a babysitter when the activity is drinking alcohol.

OMG.

What is remarkable is how little I care what a bunch of drunk 20 year olds think of me. You don't get to say what is or isn't a family-friendly location.

Going to a winery with kids/family is really more about being in a farm type environment than anything else. Really miss the little weekend petting zoo they had at Barrel Oak!

While some wineries may not be kid-friendly, I wouldn’t be surprised if some are. In the city we used to live in, one of our favorite family outings was at a brewery! They had a huge patio, live music, and lots of kids running around playing in the grass nearby etc. sometimes they setup inflatables or other things to do. We’d order some appetizers, DH would have a beer or two (I usually didn’t- not a fan of the supper hoppy beers they had)- was great!

Op, with the weather change I agree- have the dads take the kids out while you ladies relax!
