Wow Lori Laughlin has NO shame!

On the outside. Entirely different story on the inside. I'm disgusted by her and her lack of shame or remorse.

And drunk driving is arguably the worse offense. College admission scandals don’t put lives at risk in the same direct fashion DD does

Not a good analogy, Reese wasn’t driving.

Reese also apologized profusely.

Geez - “she looks great”, so all is well and she deserves a second chance?? WTF, people. But I guess her strategy is working. You don’t hear anything positive about Felicity Huffman.

You're surprised by the sheer superficiality of the DCUM lot? There are always a few with sense on here though.

Her bizarre smiles and autographs were cringe worthy for sure. She seems dim.

So does her husband. Her daughters come by their own dimness honestly (ha).

IMO Huffman can’t take the current strategy Laughlin took because on L’s case both spouses are indicted and neither are currently tied to any huge career-centric roles. H is married to William H Macy who is entering in the last few seasons of the mega showtime hit Shameless. They have a lot more to lose, H’s low profile is wise. Macy wasn’t indicted only because there wasn’t enough evidence, he wasn’t innocent in the whole thing. They are INCREDIBLY lucky he is not involved and the media isn’t focusing on the connection.

She will be fine and is willing to do the repair work. People will want her story more now than ever and she's deciding to steer that ship.

How in the world does anyone think she will come out ahead with this? I do think it will eventually die down and it's not necessarily the death of her career, but i do think there will be lasting damage.

Oh come on. Why would the view hire her?

There are those who are disgusted by her behavior and there are those who can relate, and there are others who don’t think the crime is that big of a deal. There is so much instantly happening in all aspects of America, Aunt Becky’s checkbook is the least scandalous thing.

I don't think she's going to come out ahead. This scandal is unique because it is just so morally indefensible. It's not like being on drugs, or going through a weak point and cheating on your spouse. It was blatant and shocking entitlement and greed. That's not the kind of thing the public just forgives.

Michael Jackson's career never rebounded from the child abuse scandal. Despite what some say not all publicity is good publicity. I don't think her career will rebound. However, I do think it's possible for Olivia Jade's career to take off. She can play it off as being young and stupid and just going along with it in order to please her parents.

Counterpoints to your valid argument:
-I think it is morally defensible, this is just another example of privilege but on a grand stage. Her ultimate motivator was trying to give her children the best education, chance, etc available. That’s not an absurd way to feel as a parent. Correct, majority of parents can’t afford to do what she did and an even larger majority would never take an illegal action like she did, but the motivator is a common feeling amongst parents. Always striving for the best for your child.
-unlike other crimes, who did she and her husband directly hurt? If two other kids were disadvantaged by her lies, they’ll be able to collect their restitution via lawsuit.

They hired that idiot anti-Vaxxer. Jenny McCarthy. Lori Loughlin is a saint in comparison.
