They are 10yrs old. You can't have an IG account until 13yrs old minimum

LOL. You do know a bunch of underage kids have them right? I'd say over half my 11 year old's friends have them .

Sleepvers can and do get wild even boy sleepovers and if you find a kid wild now, wait till he has too much sugar and not enough sleep. Plus, you need to check in on them now and then. That age is notorious for dares. My son went to one sleepover where a kid brought a lighter. That could have ended really horrifically if my son and several others didn't run and get an adult. It just takes one kid with poor judgment to do something really stupid.

That is WHY they are fun. Don't be such a drip

+1

What is up with the overbearing moms these days. Jeez!

Op complained about the wild friend. This was just to say, if the kid is wild upon entering the home, sugar, excitement and lack of sleep usually don't decrease wildness.

Um yeah, just commenting on the PPs who think young kids don't have IG. My DD is in SECOND and has two friends, same age, who are on it. She has a friend in fourth grade who has her own youtube channel. I had a talk with her when she came home telling me they had made videos introducing themselves and saying what school they went to. But don't worry mom, we didn't post them or anything. WTH?!

For the life of me, I can't figure out why first and second graders need smartphones. Or have any business on social media.

I have no idea how I'm gonna protect my kid from the world she's growing up in.

That was my takeaway as well!

I don't believe it. She probably meant the house as a whole is 6k SQ feet. No way is there a 6000 SQ feet basement!

Why do people care about how big our basement is?

Fine, we live in a very large house. The basement has an au pair/in law suite and several rooms mentioned above. That is why the sf is so high. I stated it doesn’t feel as big because the actual open space where kids would hang out is probably only 2000sf.

My house is 2400sq ft total.

Again, why do we give a shit about how big their basement is? Totally not the point. OP - like what the PP said - when is your Super Bowl party?

Your perspective is pretty funny. I get what you are saying in your relative, but the way it comes off when you type it..... "Oh this little bitty ring? It is only 5 carats."

OP needs to check the plans for her house. There is no way at all that she has a six thousand sq ft basement. No way at all. 6000 sq feet would be sufficient for a ten bedroom house and she's claiming that's just her basement. No way. She doesn't understand square feet and has likely quoted the total size of the house not one floor.
